You can see it even when she's branching really far away from her current instrumentation of choice, with something like her Streets of Rage 4 cut. Uematsu is so flexible you can find something to love with him even if you detest some of his songs. If Shimomura's default misses with you the only thing you're liable to like from her is Guile's Theme, and that was aaaaaages ago. Uematsu's best is also just kind of trascendentally good at whatever mood he's tackling.
