nemu 10/27/20 9:35:49 AM #141:	I don't really see what they could have reasonably done differently with how aggressive he was being. They easily could have been the ones to die if a taser failed and he bumrushed them. They could have maybe tried to get back to their car to leave and see if that deescalated things, but that would potentially lead him turning on someone else nearby. It just seems to be an unfortunate no-win situation. Places like Norway have two years of training. They need better deescalation and psycological training/help on their side when dealing with people like this as well. However, there also needs to be more mental health care available for the general public. There needs to be more assistance for communities financially and healthwise to prevent people to become like this. There also needs to be better gun control. Too many people have access to guns in the US. It's no surprise cops become nervous in these situations when anyone could pull out a gun. Not to mention there are a lot of crazy people in the US.
