Not really. There's one dude who talks about freeing slaves but he's only in the first Act and they don't really bring it up after that.

ergo the same folks who are triggered by statues of George Washington due to his ownership of slaves ought to be equally triggered by this play/movie that paints a slave trader in a positive light.

It's mentioned in passing a few times. I believe Hamilton and Burr (the main characters) were strongly anti slave but it's not a big topic of the play.

not according to that Harvard article i posted up there.

He was not an abolitionist, she added. He bought and sold slaves for his in-laws, and opposing slavery was never at the forefront of his agenda.

This, John Laurens brings it up because he was a big abolitionist at the time and wanted to recruit slaves to fight against the British, but he dies during the revolution so he doesn't appear in the second act.
