I'm not expecting to spend too long on this game, being only somewhat versed in Tales games, but I figure I'll try it out and see some of the story. Finally had a good reroll with 4x SSRs, not including the free one, so I have Kohaku, Jude, Milla, Kanata, and the Rita I picked. Seems good enough to me.

I can certainly tell we have an overall weakness as a group in our Earth character selection, lol.

I now have 6 SSRs after getting the 3% Chronos drop with my first arena ticket: 2 Wind, 2 Water, and 2 Dark. So not great type coverage.

Oh...lol I had the graphics setting mixed up, I though "performance" framerate would be the one that would make it better, but it's the opposite.

Spent most of the morning grinding EXP items and have my main team pretty much maxed out for now.

Got a dupe Asbel from a summon so I tried using Awaken with the extra Memoria Stone to see what difference it would make. He now has double the stats of my other SSRs despite being the same level, so yeah.

Hmm, that would probably explain the ridiculously tanky Estelle that I came across in Arena.

Maybe I should have kept the triple Velvet account!

It's not merely that severe a boost at higher levels since the amount I increases your stats is stagnant, but it's still noteable!

Tip for raids, don't do them if you're not on wifi. Unlike arena it's ACTUALLY a simultaneous online thing.

It turns out donating low level awakening materials gives you a ton of guild points. So now we're level 3.

My only earth pulls have been Leia, Anise and Rose, and the latter two only came recently.

Anise has been pretty strong in my experience. Has pretty good stats and hits hard. Rose has middling stats but the abilities are strong.

... But it's Rose, so....

Yeah, I noticed this myself. I've hit 500k gald a couple times on the friend pulls, but adorning really cuts into your total quickly if you're not paying attention.

Looking at Leon

Memoria Stone upgrade: +2% Crit rate and 10 extra levels of stats
Leon upgrade: +1500 HP, +288 ATK, +146 DEF and +5% ATK on MA multiplier

Not sure if 10 levels of Memoria Stone are greater than the boost it gives to Leon. And I guess using it on the Hero has the added benefit of unlocking a skill after you do it 5 times.

I'd probably go character over memoria based on nothing really, but I think those stat boosts are better than what you'd get on 10 levels on memoria.

Upgrading the character by merging Memoria is likely why I can sometimes still get my ass beat in arena by an SR. Much easier to get dupes, so there's a good chance that some of these +5 SRs are stronger than the base SSRs as a result, other than the MA.

I still havent gotten ONE Repede in Summons yet. Otherwise hed be close to or fully awakened at this point -_-

As far as I can tell, using it on the character will give that character a stronger boost in stats, using it on the stone gives a comparatively smaller boost, but it can be attached to any other character. Generally I'm just attaching matching stones to characters right now, but I'm assuming down the line once people understand the game better, mixing and matching will probably be more optimal.

Probably going to set aside the story for the weekend and try to level as many characters and memoria as I can. I'm curious how much of a difference it'll make if you have your 9 sub-slots filled with maxed out memoria.

Looking ahead at the challenge log, one of the challenges is to get an SSR Memoria to 100. That requires it to be fully ascended. There isn't a challenge for having a character 5/5 though.

That would lead me to believe that there will be a universal item that can be used for Memoria ascension down the line but not for characters.

Nevermind, I misread. There is one for fully ascending a character too.

Make sure you're doing friend summons. You get a free 10-pull every day and you can get a lot of gald from those if you get lucky.

Yeah, 500k and 100k are both potential pulls you can get.

I can reliably auto Hard 2 and get ~15-20k a run

Well I did it on mostly auto but I had a level 60 Leon support. Don't think I can auto that yet without a strong shadow supp since the game hasn't given me any good shadows yet :(

Oh yeah there is a universal item for ascension. In the Rainbow Shard store you can trade 10 shards for 1 Ascension or Awakening stone. Doesn't seem like a great deal given 5 shards can get you an SSR ticket.

But that at least gives me hope that they may be obtainable by other means like events or something. I'm sure they will be very scarce but it's possible I guess.

Man, Lloyd just feels bad... :(

The few Lloyd's I've taken with me as a guest were great, probably just needs leveling/good Memoria.

Hoping Stahn is good once I get my hands on some Fire leveling materials, I've only had him as a guest once and it was in an auto battle, and I've only fought him once in the Arena.

My daily quest for "donate an item to your guild" is incomplete, but when I go to donate an item to the guild, it says I've already reached the donation limit for the day

It definitely needs some work. I love Leon & Jude together because their Mystics both hit for 20+ and they usually go off together in the third turn giving the anchor like a 60% attack buff. Rita and Lloyd don't really fit the tempo, but Rita's just great and her defense debuff has been working out well for me. Lloyd's just there right now, really. He's alright. Good stats. I have a Gaius I've awakened three times that I just haven't used at all. Actually, yeah:

Lloyd is a tank/combo build character in this game instead of a straight damage, which feels weird but he works well enough. Amazing Mystic Art too.
