Authorities dropped charges against 31 y/o Dustin Lee Dennis, just 3 days after charging him with second degree murder and child neglect He was originally charged for the murder of his 2 kids, 3 y/o Ryan and 4 y/o Teagan who were found dead in his hot truck but surveillance footage showed that the kids walked out of the house and climbed in themselves and were tragically trapped there in 90 degree weather and died. Dustin went straight to BED after coming back from a convenience store with the kids and slept for 5 HOURS that day before discovering their bodies and brought them inside to give CPR before calling police. Local police were forced to drop the charges when information came on the children's tribal heritage where the Supreme Court ruling said crimes involving tribal citizens and on tribal land fall under federal, not state law enforcement The mother the kids is a member of the Cherokee Nation according to Tulsa DA. Steve Kunzweiler. He said "We determined that the oldest child had a tribal membership card. While it's possible he might have told them to go out there and get into the car, the reason he supposedly wasn't watching them was because he was asleep. Was he supposed to get a babysitter while he slept?
