adjl 07/13/20 1:25:37 AM #3:	He's not wrong in that there's definitely a bit of a race to see who can support the cause better than everyone else, but the attitude that sports should be an escape from reality that ignores current issues isn't altogether valid. Sports give athletes platforms from which to champion causes they believe in. Expecting them not to use said platforms because some people would rather spend sports time forgetting that the world isn't perfect is unreasonable. --- This is my signature. Black people after the Civil War and especially during the Civil Rights Era have been yelling from the mountaintop in regards to the problems they faced in America so there needs to a come a time when people can sit down open dialogue without all the BS and start to make changes.
