Far Cry 6 has been revealed a little earlier than planned via a PlayStation Store leak, which has listed it for launch on 18th February 2021.

Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito will play a major role as the dictator of Yara, a fictional country which looks heavily-inspired by Cuba.
You play as Dani Rojas, a local guerrilla fighter who takes on the dictator's rule.
The game's store description lists it as the "largest Far Cry playground to date" with the series' typical jungles and beaches as well as a city - Esperanza, the country's capital.
"Employ makeshift weapons, vehicles, and Amigos, the new Fangs for Hire to burn the tyrannical regime to the ground," the description concludes.
PlayStation 4 copies of the game will upgrade for free if you play on PlayStation 5 - which will almost certainly be the same for Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
We're sure to hear more about Far Cry 6 at Ubisoft's not-E3 event this Sunday at 8pm UK time.

Skipped 4 and 5 cuz I didn't care for the copy/paste formula but this is a total MOTHERFUCK YES situation right here. Back to the tropics mang! Pew pew!

Far Cry stories can never stick the landing, it's annoying. Still I was a big fan of 3, 4, 5, and ND, so I will be getting this for sure. At the very least they are good at making scary villains

By city I'm hoping an actual well-developed city like GTA where you can run around in and interact in rather than some fake ass small settlement where you cant use your guns and everyone acts like untouchable robots?

i played 5 and new dawn recently. They were fun and I appreciated they weren't these 200 hour slogs. It was a nicce crisp 15-20 hours. Though, I liked Just Cause more than Far Cry.

Far cry 3 is currently $3 on PS4, i'll probably pick it up and give it a run through.

Most likely the same exact formula with endless control towers and bounties but hopefully the story and expanded emphasis on NPC allies make up for that.

You should check out 2, its a much different game than the copy/past Ubisoft formula the series devolved into from 3 onward.

Idk I think this game could be a lot different because this is "new" Ubisoft and FC5 was already out and New Dawn was way too far into development when all that shit went down.

It was ok at first, but it was really easy. I was already riding around on a saber tooth tiger and cave bear like...5 hours in.

Then they added a survival mode and a permadeath mode, but it was kind of a slap in the face because you could still only have one save file. So youd have to delete your normal mode save just to try the hard mode

I kind of hope he doesn't seem played out if you go in reverse. Since the others didn't hit as hard since I already knew what they were going for. Could be one those situations where the one you see with the freshest mind seems the hypest.

If it's like other recent Ubi shooters, they're going to incorporate a bigger emphasis on loot and gear and lower the amount of action while making it more of a grind. And the story's not going to be complete but come in an update months after release.

I'd rather have a Blood Dragon 2 that's more fleshed out to be like a $50 game instead of a 8 to 10 hour one and done arcade title. I liked the humor, the over the top action and weapons, the music, it could do well as a larger game imo.

That was a plus to me, Jason and Arjay might as well be a blank canvas as well because their characters were lifeless and bland. I welcomed the silent protagonist is 5.

At this point I think it's 100% a given that Ubisoft is driving their own leaks. You don't have this shit processed and ready to go in that short of a time frame if it's a legitimate surprise.

you would, since these would be things you'd be making for your announcement and you aren't going to wait until he last second for everything.

That doesn't change that they could have leaked it themselves to get more eyes on their show, just that logic is horrific and ignorant of how marketing works.

Same. Loved Far Cry 2 and actually finished it. Never got even halfway through 3 before I got bored, and haven't tried any since.

That's the most realistic one, the buddy system was great. You could lose your comrade in battle which was a great feature but fucked up when you had to comfort their death and they could save you via a health syringe. Blood diamonds for a currency factor and fighting between two factions with a non over the top villian, weapon degradation was cool and realistic. My only complaint is the lack of waypoint travels.

My only real complaint of that game is once youve broken stealth there is no regaining it until you leave the immediate area
