All the buzz makes me wanna get it for the gameplay, but my only experience with tlou is the beta that came with Uncharted 3 back in the day and I hated that I was some fat old man who couldnt scale buildings. But I wanna like, throw a brick at an enemy dude's feet to alert zombies. That sounds fun

The last Ellie vs Abby fight reminded me of the fight from They Live

I loved TLOU and TLOU 2.

I think the last fight was kinda bullshit. Even a weakened Abby would have worked Ellie.

I very much enjoyed the game. I thought some moments were cheap, but overall it was super enjoyable.

The ending was kind of bitter, but I don't think you can expect a sweet ending in a game like this.

We have no idea how long Abby was literally just hanging there tied up to that pole. They could have been there for a couple weeks.

Yeah, it was basically Ellie in her prime vs a super weakened, dehydrated, starving Abby. Plus, Ellie had a knife, against Abbys fists.

Ellie got stuck in the gut too though, so she wasn't at her best either. What bothered me was that Ellie could've killed Abby unceremoniously if she wanted to but she was demanding a fight, then she goes knife vs. unarmed. Didn't like that.

Honestly shocked at how good it is. The stealth and weapon customization is so much better than the first it blows my mind that a lot of people are saying the first was better, even if they liked it. Sneaking around is so much more fun, the WLF segments are what I wish MGS4 was.

It's so bizarre how passionately the people who hate it are basically cheating themselves out of a legit GOTY experience.

Yeah I thought it was great. Big improvement from the first game gameplay wise. Playing it hit and run style is so freaking fun. I always thought the first games gameplay was pretty average and this goes way beyond that.

Story is more ambitious which I overall liked but not as smooth as the first game. Really my only issue was the huge cliffhanger after Ellie Day 3 felt a bit cheap.

It probable could have been structured better, mostly because (IMO) the entire time after that you just want to get back to it and it takes a bit too long to get there. Not that the part in between is bad, it's just not what you are waiting for at that moment.

I think I would have liked it better if you could choose to play as Ellie or Abby after the prologue and you unlock the epilogue after beating two campaigns. The only awkward stuff I can think of is the Scars get their proper intro in Ellie's campaign (most would choose Ellie first anyway) and the boss fight in the theater. If they were separate though people could progress through the game however they wanted which I think would solve a lot of complaints about the pacing.

She was imprisoned for two months and on the verge of death, plus Ellie had a weapon.

It's a much heavier game than the first one. I couldn't play it for more than an hour or so at a time. It's too emotionally draining. The gameplay is really fantastic in some parts though. Glad to see the improvements there.

Its so heavy. Id play in long sessions - like 4 hours or so at a time. My brother played at the same pace. We would usually send each other this at the end of a session

Rattlers vs Ellie best part of the game.

So I liked the game, but there were a lot of aspects I wasnt a fan of. I thought the story dragged a bit and didnt really like much of the character change for Ellie, nor the way that they killed Joel off so freaking early for the sake of shock value. I think Abbys story was alright, but I just couldnt find myself caring enough about her side of the story. I thought that the choice of making half the game be with characters that we didnt already know and care for was a mistake. On the other hand I also felt the ending itself was weak too. Ellie shouldve killed Abby and you cant convince me otherwise.

Anyway, I still enjoyed it, even if it didnt live up to the first game. Solid 7.5/10 from me.

i thought tlou2 was a good game and i enjoyed it, i definitely had some complaints though.

the gameplay was a little too basic and i wish there were more options to play stealthy. the enemy AI was also really bad, I wish this was improved too.

story-wise the pacing was really off on the second half of the game and in general i didnt connect with any of the characters besides abby & ellie, so it was hard to feel anything for them when they died or whatever. the seraphites also bugged me, they felt pretty cheesy and often did not make much sense.

overall cool game, i was kind of burnt out by the end but i'll probably go back in a bit to play new game + on a harder difficulty
