Discussion is a dumpster fire where you have to be extremely careful with what you say to avoid being banned. There was a guy who said Barret in FF7R was extremely racist to black people and when people respectfully disagreed and offered their own opinion, they were banned for supposedly downplaying racism. Im black and most of those people were not being racist at all. It was ridiculous. The users believe themselves to be better than the rest of the internet when that couldnt be farther from the truth. You still have users regularly making fun of others even if its apparent that English may not be their first language. Harassment still happens. When Etika(YouTuber) was talking about wanting to commit suicide, people there were calling him a fake, homophobic, piece of garbage up until his death. When he went missing, people still said it was a publicity stunt and he was garbage for hiding. It was only after his body was found that the same users suddenly had a change of heart. One mod who joined on dissing the man stepped down because he felt disgusted at himself and the site so good on him. With so many users, its the fastest way to get information out to people all over the industry. Even developers and notable people of the industry like Geoff Keighley have accounts and make posts. Plus, people on the site are verified and who they actually say there are. Also, since you have to use work or college emails, there will be far less trolling. Even though what the users do can be considered trolling, actual trolls know theyre full of shit and just want a reaction.
