If Sam Walton (founder of Wal-Mart) was alive today he'd be worth around 500 billion now.
That's halfway to a trillion. And believe me, Sam would want his money in cash rather than stocks because he stopped trusting Wall Street after the '87 crash. And if that happened, Wall Street could never come up with 500 billion. . ... Copied to Clipboard!

Would you be willing to work at an Amazon Fulfillment Center?Nope. Because you're a temporary employee whose held to piece rate style quotas while being paid NOTHING extra for all the running around hustling to get all the armchair 'deal' shoppers their mostly foreign made garbage. Amazon only gets my money when I can use a free Prime trial and they're practically giving away the item(s) I'm buying. Otherwise I stick to brick and mortar retailers because they at least know what an actual clearance price is. Even Walmart, that once thought .04 off MSRP was a 'clearance' price, now drops stuff to INSANE prices at times. Meanwhile your average consumer is happy to buy stuff that Amazon merely price matches other retailers prices on because they don't have to un-wedge their butts out of their La-Z-Boys to go get it. ... Most state are 'at will' for employment, meaning you can quit or the company can fire you. The only time(s) that's prohibited is if it were for one of the protected reasons (race, age, etc). If I didn't like a place, be it the working conditions or the pay then you know what I did? I left.
Not to mention the fact that if the average American consumer were smarter and less lazy they would use whatever free time they have to deal hunt like some of us do to get the best prices WITHOUT supporting Amazon. Those two factors alone are why the company is as large (and growing) as it is. ... Copied to Clipboard!

This.I know how to find deals at brick and mortar stores. So Amazon only gets my money when it's something at a decent price from their Warehouse Deals portion of the site, like when I got a 160 GB PS3 slim for $80 a few years ago in mint condition or when their trade-in program was actually decent and gave me tons of credit for stuff I paid pennies for (literally, pennied game guides from Best Buy and Gamestop). The only other time I didn't mind dealing with them was when I sold on there as a third party seller for a while. Stuff that I paid $15 for (Black Ops Prestige Editions, World Of Warcraft CE's) sold for $200+ apiece because of how buyers on there just buy buy buy regardless of if these items have been clearanced somewhere (where I got them) for way cheaper. Problem there is after going inactive for about six months they purged my seller account due to inactivity, thus negating my grandfathered account that allowed me to disburse the money I was paid after their fees at any time. Now if I reapplied for a new selling account I'd be on a minimum two week schedule like a regular job, which is a crock considering Amazon doesn't wait to take their fees out of your money. ...
