But I only wear one for a few minutes while I go into the grocery store to grab what I need. I imagine they're miserable to wear for hours on end.

My brother in law works construction for the university here and they say they have to wear masks, which is just really dumb tbh. He's usually working by himself or with the same few guys.

Its a catch-22. If you have issues breathing through a mask then I would assume that you have some respiratory issue in which case you should be wearing a mask.

Just a little bit. I often feel a little light headed after running errands, but it goes away. The biggest problem is that I have to set my glasses further down on my nose so that they don't fog up. All minor inconveniences in the grand scheme of things.

Depends on the mask. I have a couple from Vapor95 that are comfy and easy to wear. Then I have one from Amazon that is virtually impossible to breathe through. It's a roll of the dice when it comes to the ones you find in most stores, even home made.

Back when I was an active boxer, I would occasionally go do road work and run for miles wearing a face mask to improve my cardiovascular strength. Plenty of other athletes train in similar fashions to prepare for games or fights in higher altitudes as well.

If fit people can run miles wearing a mask, a fat ass can wear a mask while picking up macaroni and cheese at the grocery store.

It doesn't make breathing any harder, but wearing the mask itself can get unpleasant. On a hot day, it'll heat up my face, and wearing it long enough will make my ears sore.

No. It just gets really uncomfortable when I'm outside in the heat + humidity, but I don't have any issues breathing with it.

I'm severely asthmatic (I take singulair and symbicort for maintenance and still use my rescue inhaler at double the standard prescribed rate), and a mask only impedes my breathing if I'm physically active while wearing it. Even then it just wears me out a little, it doesn't induce an attack. I've gone out in public maybe 8 or 10 times in the last hundred days, and I always wear a mask.

In an air conditioned environment, no. In the heat and humidity outside such places, yes. The air in the mask is even hotter and more humid and it is terrible.

Due to the fact that it covers up my nose and mouth, it technically does make it harder to breathe, but unless it gets soaked, I can still breathe.

Wearing a mask for an entire 8 hour shift is pretty shitty. Wearing a mask for 20 minutes while I run to the store isn't even an inconvenience. If people are struggling to breath the second they put on a mask, there's probably something wrong with them.

Why are the two sides like:

"I breathe BETTER with them on"
Or
"Im dying within seconds of wearing one"

Theyre very obnoxious but when i have to wear em i get over it. Although i never wear them when not being paid to.

Harder to breathe, maybe a little. I inhale much more deeply while I'm wearing a mask to compensate, though.

I have to walk up and down stairs frequently at work, and doing that in a mask is definitely a bit tougher on the lungs.
