Man Madoka went from struggling to survive to top contender within ten or so rounds.

Same with Death Note, they were almost eliminated back to back.

...funny thing is I only saved Madoka that time as karma repayment to Xeybozn for bailing TTGL out of many rounds with his H4 saves. Which I may regret by the end of this tournament...

That being said, if Madoka did get eliminated I think Antarctica would be here in its place anyhow, seems like lots of overlap between those series' supporters.

H4 is truly dead and buried now I think. Even with a rule change. We've about hit that point. Sorry for your loss voltch and other Monogatari fans. Good placement though. It'll get that V someday. I still need to go back and finish it. I only got like 5 episodes in. I seem to recall a small girl with a snail backpack and a mean girl whose name is hard to pronounce and impossible to spell. And staples. Man what a bitch. I loved her.

I've been looking to increase my Monogatari merchandise
Got the 12 Blu Rays, got the first Light Novel and First 2 Mangas in French.
I'll grab the new releases whenever I go back, maybe next year.
Got my Senjougahara figure, and my Karen, always hoping for the major companies to make more cool ones.
Got my fanbook, lots of cool pixiv art in it.

Maybe next year I'll make a deeper run.

Monogatari already had its championship year. It's just that its fans decided to let Hunter x Hunter win instead for some reason. I don't think it'll ever get that close again,

That said, current priorities

Legend of the Galactic Heroes -> After completing it, it's got the best remaining cast and it had the best overall story.
Oberstein, Julian, Reuenthal, Mittermeyer, Schenkoppf and Rubinsky all stood out. Rare show that hugely benefited from the glacial pacing as it took time to fully understood everyone's position, what they stood to gain and why they made the decisions they did.

Kaguya-> Looking to trade, Hour 1 if possible with someone from that crew. This was the one show I was really nervous about going in, because the manga was so good I didn't want the adaptation to flop. Luckily they nailed it out of the park with Season 1. I'll watch Season 2 next week in full, but hearing many good things about it.

KonoSuba-> Re:Zero Season 2 is soon, I was thinking, oh hey good time to watch Season 1's Director's cut.
I love Rem and most of the cast, but Subaru fucking sucks, so I switched and watched KonoSuba again after clearing the movie and had a good time.

Baccano-> If those 3 get knocked out before Baccano, then fuck it, all in on Baccano. It's a rare 10/10 show. I never put it high on the priorities cos even though I like it, the support is solid enough. Bought the BluRay and it looks great.

Monogatari's in a rare situation where at this point more content hurts it.

When it was just Bake, Nise and second season, it was a fairly easy to track show and Second Season had the Koimonogatari arc which gave Kaiki huge shine.

But Hana/Tsuki/Owari/Kizu/Koyo just made shit confusing to newcomers, so no matter how great the content, it's just not an accessible show anymore.

Oh I went straight for the Goodsmile company one. It's one of the oldest ones from my collection.

I like Kotobukiya as they're the best of that 2nd tier of figure companies, so you get some really good stuff at non-Alter prices, but if I were to have bought a second one, I'd have picked the Koimonogatari one.

Oh wow. I didn't even know it was down to Monogatari and Steins;Gate when I voted. Was too busy at work today and saw that my hour was up and knew the round was probably almost over based on the last couple rounds. So I just voted without catching up and went back to work.

Glad I made it in time though! Don't think I have enough support to get it much further but we'll see. Definitely better than last year though when I was working night shift and sleeping through entire rounds!

It's my second favorite anime of all time, so it's pretty much guaranteed a second vote from me - if I can remember that this topic gets made before it gets too close.
