Dailymail has revealed that 34 y/o Lt. Robert Cattani, an NYPD Cop who took part alongside protesters and KNEELED in support of solidarity with Black Lives Matter has now BACKTRACKED and is BEGGING for forgiveness from his co-workers as he says he is now ashamed for what he did and wrote a 3 page written EMAIL to his colleagues on June 3 on his embarrassment he brought to the badge and his precinct!!

He said "the cop in me wants to kick my own ass" and that he will be "shamed and humiliated for the rest of my life" for his decision to kneel

Robert even says he has difficult sleeping and eating and that he had destroyed his efforts to be a "good cop" by "the decision to give into a crowd of protesters"

He claimed he only kneeled thinking it would prevent any violence at the protest and since thought about RESIGNING the police department

He was pictured among 4 NYPD officers who took a knee in front of protesters on May 31 as thousands of people in the crowd yelled to the cops to "take a knee" in solidarity. One protester said "We just want to get home safely, same as you"

The crowds cheered as the cops joined in on the kneeing..and now the officer is profusely apologizing to his fellow cops claiming he felt pressured into kneeling to keep the peace and now realized it was the wrong call to support the black lives matters protesters

He continued "I know it was wrong and something i will be shamed and humiliated about for the rest of my life. I would like to think that being up for almost 40 hours and walking 32 miles in 2 days might have clouded my judgement, yet still no excuse. I was here for the peacefl protests. I was there for the fights with the rioters at night. I walked, i fought, i bleed and i still kept showing up"

He said he disagreed with the actions of officers in Minneapolis that were responsible for George Floyd's death but he does not believe he is like them and taking a knee meant admitting they were like those cops. He said "We all know that a-hole in Minneapolis was wrong. yet we don't concede for other officers mistakes. I do not place blame on anyone other than myself for not standing my ground. I spent the first part of my career thriving to build a reputation of a good cop. I threw that all in the garbage in that one moment. I could not imagine the idea of ever coming back to workand putting on the uniform i so wrongly shamed. However, i decided that was the easy way out for me and i will continue to come to work everyday being there for my personnel. So from the bottom of my heart and soul i am sorry and SHAMED. Since then i have been strugglng with the decision i made, not being able to eat or sleep. I let you down, i understand your frustration and anger. Please know that just like the first half of my career i will work every day for the rset of it to rebuild the confidence you had in me".

President Trump has railed against people who are taking a knee as he said he only kneels for GOD and denounces anybody that gives into the leftist argument that takes a knee for solidarity for black lives matter

He's a cop, it's in his nature to want to attack protesters. A "good cop" would've shot protesters in the face with tear gas canisters or other "non-lethal" ammunition.

@Zikten I would actually like a source on this. Or at least the officers name so I can find it myself

Well, I found a name. Two actually, Officers Aaron Torgalski and Robert McCabe were charged with assault against Martin Gugino. But I can't find any evidence suggesting they previously kneeled at a protest.

I don't see whats so wrong about this. He feels like he buckled to the crowd and did something against his beliefs which he clearly feels strongly about. I've definitely had times I agreed with a group of people and regretted it later even for things that aren't that important.
