One of the DeMarco trash yelled "He's dead because he didn't comply. He got HIMSELF KILLED. Blue Lives Matter"

Mayor John Bruno was appalled and saddened by this and called the brothers revolting

Gov. Phil Murphy condemned the stunt and said the state won't let actions of a few distract their progress toward dismantling systemic racism

Trump has been notably absent on the condemnation on the death of George Floyd and is tip toeing over a speech on unity and race relations but refused to back down on calling on police reform but rather calling on support for police and even the ones ACCUSED of brutality!!

After finding out this dude was a serious piece of shit, I find it hard to take these protests/riots seriously anymore. Dude held a gun to a pregnant woman's stomach to rob her on top of everything else and he was high on meth and fentanyl when he died. That said, mocking his death is childish and is merely an example of stooping as low as some of the more violent protesters

you don't understand what this movement is about if you think discrediting George Floyd discredits the movement. it's not about one man. one murder. it's about the treatment of black americans for 400 years

If that's what you think it's about, then you realize that the movement is patently ridiculous because the cops of today bear little resemblance to even 150 years ago, let alone 400.

As for the idea of it not being about one man, I should remind you that so many of the individuals that the movement has chosen focus on have been problematic. Mike Brown is a great example, given that even Obama's justice department found that he had gone for the officer's gun yet the "Hands up, don't shoot" narrative is still parroted. Clearly the movement is far removed from the facts of a case so it's not simply a matter of "discrediting" since even a debunking doesn't take the wind out from under its sails.
