Definitely a good showing especially after starting off on the wrong foot with GTA5.

Lots of stuff I'm interested in and the console design is growing on me.

A couple of takeaways:

1. The PS5 can make pretty pictures in more detail than the PS4. The games, however, aren't that far evolved.
2. Lots of indies. A couple of interesting games.

I liked the look of Stray. I saw the cat, I said, "I had better be playing the cat," and happily, that seems to be the concept.

Honestly probably the coolest looking console I've ever seen, but I like wierd shit like that.

I hate how the PS4 looked, and the slanted back made it impossible fiddle with cables without taking the whole thing out of the unit.

They couldn't possibly reveal price right now. These consoles, especially the top end models, are going to be incredibly expensive. A huge price during the global pandemic and economic downturn is going to cause some sticker shock, and it is critical to build up hype as much as possible on the front end in order to justify the price. They want people talking about games, tech, design, rumors, and everything else first. The price is going to be the bad news - it needs to be prefaced with as much good news as possible first. Plus, Sony and MS need to ensure that they are at least close to each other on price.

The report last week made Sony's stance clear that they are focusing very specifically on games built for PS5 and only on PS5, and think very little of cross gen releases. That said, it's not impossible.
