yeah, loki, thanos and vulture are popular MCU villains. others are too, to a lesser extent. but overall, their track record of villains isn't that great - i think kevin feige even said that the movies are more about the heroes.

Oh right, Kilmonger was good. Their depiction of Vulture was pretty solid, too.

Robert Redford was also a very strong, unique villain who gets nowhere near the great he deserves as Alexander Pierce.

Ultron is a good performance marred by bad writing. A character who is insistent that human emotions are a weakness proceeds to crack jokes, get mad, gasp in surprise and offer bitter sarcastic rejoinders? Come on.

Regarding the sequel trilogy as a whole anyway, I just feel like a lot of problems people have with the films are pure nitpicks, many of which can be handwaved easily, for instance people complaining about Kylo Ren's real name being Ben when his mom didn't know Obi-Wan. Well, his dad and uncle did!

Also, many of the bigger problems people have with the films, particularly The Last Jedi, are problems that have been done worse by many other films. The entirety of Armageddon once the film gets to the asteroid is an even more aggravating waste of time than the space chase in TLJ, and movies like Bad Boys have idiotic subplots revolving around mis-communication.

Finally, I never really understood the problems people have with there being "too much humor" in the sequel trilogy movies. The original trilogy had its fair share of snark, after all. To be fair this might just be me viewing the new Star Wars films as simple blockbuster entertainment and therefore measuring my expectations accordingly.

it's not that humor doesn't belong in star wars movies, it's just that most of the humor in the original trilogy was better. the "boring conversation anyway" scene in ANH was funnier than all of the MCU-style super fast, quippy dialogue in the sequel trilogy.

Would anyone be interested to know what I think might be another reason there was no plan for the sequel trilogy?

In my interpretation that's kind of the point of his character. The movie even states that he took on Stark's personality without realizing it, making him a hypocrite.

I'm one of the people who like Age of Ultron. The party scenes are really fun and pretty much the only time we get to see the Avengers just hanging out as friends, and Cap gets a lot of cool moments to shine which is all that really matters anyway.

Oh and Iron Man 3 is a fantastic movie too.

Nobody wants to read talking points you repeat from Youtube reviewers you watch.
