My assumption right now is that even if this is true, it was a gesture from the managers of that store personally rather than anything given from the corporation. If we don't have confirmation real soon then I have to call bullshit, since Walmart has like a million and a half employees in the US.

It's most likely store management doing what they can for their people with what few options are available to them because corporate screwed them all over.

Walmart has made about 500 billion dollars in sales every year for the last 5 years straight. Pretty sure they can afford to bump up their pay a couple bucks. For its employees I mean. Not the CEOs which are the ones who always get rich

Could they afford to pay them extra? Yes they absolutely can but the real question here is why should they?

Like why buy an item for 50 dollars when you can buy the same item for 40 on the store next door? Makes no sense to waste your money like that

If you want to receive the perks that Costco employees get then apply to work at Costco. Walmart hasnt changed its business philosophy all of a sudden, you know what to expect if you go to work there.

Its false. Upon closer inspection you can tell. Every signature is done with the same pen. They could have passed around a pen, fair enough. However the handwriting is all the same with the lettering style being the same as well as the amount of ink being displayed based on how hard the pen is pushed down. Now I know someone will say one person could have just signed everyone's name, but considering the name of the person posting this and her bio, does that seem more likely then her faking this whole thing to try and shit on Walmart and big corporations?

That was "appreciation" money. Not hazard pay. And the only way you get 300 is if you work 40 hours per week. 150 if your a part timer.
