Yes, I work from home currently (Have been working from home for the past 8 years or so), and before that I would work in the office 2-3 days a week and the other days were WAH.

The flexibility of WAH is the one reason I will probably never leave this company willingly. That and I already have been there 20+ years, right out of high school, my severance package is 2 weeks for every year youve been there up to a year, at this point it would be better for me to keep going until retirement or for them to let me go and basically get a whole year of paid time off while looking for another job.

I was working from home permanently a year before all this started. Pretty much everyone in my department was except one coworker and my team lead. Then covid happened and they went to work from home. Then Monday we get an email saying that the office isn't going to reopen, so we don't even have the option to not work from home anymore. City office space is too expensive and most of us like it better anyway, so win win. The only times I ever went in is to replace broken tech.

Sort of. But not really. In the past, one of my jobs was at a childrens consignment store. Once, my best friend and I took a basket of clothes home to tag them because we had to much to do at the store. So, we tagged while watching tv at her house. She actually had the basket at her house for months. I think I left for the Air Force before she got them back to the store. Haha.

Recently, we also worked from home for my current job. The thing is, my job cant actually be done from home. Same for a majority of people. So, they had us do like training and stuff. But my card reader didnt work. I did nothing the first day. And went to my actually job building for a couple hours to do one training thing the second day. It wasnt too bad.

Yeah. Now. And if it went away I'd just be like "okay, I guess I'm retired" unless something else from home came up. Offices are lame AF. I'd rather die than do sales again. And, like, it doesn't matter... soooo

Also, at my current job, Im worried about our next weekend for work. We might work from home again. The problem is that my job cant be done from home. And I might not have anymore training to do. While I wouldnt mind sitting at home in my boxers for work watching YouTube and NetFlix and playing games, I would feel weird if I didnt get anything done. And I would have to go into the office if I had to get certain things done because I cant get some of the home stuff working. So, hopefully, no working from home. Or something where I can do it in about an hour at work to not feel guilty. Haha.
