Most of them are still takeout only, but there's one steak house that always seems to have a lot of cars in the parking lot. I find it hard to believe that many people are grabbing takeout at once.

They're the "Home of the Testicle Festival" and they've got Bible quotes all over their website, so read into that what you will.

Meanwhile the number of positive tests in nearby Douglas County has gotten so high it literally broke the state's tracking map..

I just went to Metro Diners today for lunch with my mother and someone else. First time I've been to a restaurant since this pandemic. Differences than usual would be that some seating booths would be closed off (social distance) and you would have to exit through the side door. Other than that, I don't know how many restaurants are still opened (fully or limitedly) or closed since I haven't checked this pandemic.

Tomorrow, or actually today as it is 10 past midnight, the government is supposed to give the new guidelines for our "Horeca" sector (which covers part of what the US calls the Hospitality Industry, but not all of it).

Some of the local restaurants have done a limited opening of their dine-in areas, but the big franchises are still just doing drive-thru.

Dine-in won't be available until phase 2 re-opening (or later) which is TBA. Phase 1 isn't even until Wednesday (and now won't include barbers)

I don't really think it'll make a difference. Sitting 6 feet away from someone at Burger King can't be worse than just stepping foot into Wal-mart with how people act in there

Some are open for takeaway but that's it. I'm more bothered about the hospitality trade. Not only do I miss pubs and bars but my brother and other people I know work in the trade and I don't want them to lose their jobs. The longer these places stay shut the more that becomes a risk. These folk who cry on social media to keep pubs and all that closed really are so short sited that I'm surprised they can see past their own arse.
