Ultimate The Last of Us The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild The Witcher 3 Xenoblade Chronicles Round 4 is the World Cup round. What that means is four games will all be grouped up and go against each other in 1v1 matches in a round robin format. The scoring will be aggregate, meaning that the points a game scores in each of the 1v1 matches in their group will be totaled at the end. The two games with the highest score will advance. Winning a 1v1 matchup gives a game +10 points to their overall score. If the games happen to tie, each will receive +5 to their overall score. Voitng will be the 5-0/4-1/3-2 system from seen in Round 2. I'll be doing a live draw of the ten groups this evening in the contests tab of the Board 8 Discord. I'm surprised to see Captain Toad, Night in the Woods, South Park, and especially Civ 5 still hanging around (I now expect that to become a Group of 4 in the next round). I'm also surprised that neither Red Dead Redemption game was able to make it out of Round 3. Shovel Knight and Rayman Legends have both had head turning performances through the first three rounds. I had no idea those games were so beloved. Should be an interesting match, at least! Cuphead looks to be in decent position, but has to face destroyer of contest worlds BotW next while Hollow Knight faces the underwhelming Horizon Zero Dawn. NieR and Mass Effect 2 go against each other, so that should sort itself out.
