As past memory cards and hard drives can attest to, I have no problem dropping a game part-way through if I'm not enjoying it. --- The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes. That's fact. It was the definition of a low budget game though but I did like the physics. I simply can't play through a game I actually don't like. It has some of the worst voice acting in gaming, really obtuse puzzles, terrible clipping issues, awkward controls and a nonsensical story. I kind of enjoyed it though, but I'm easily pleased. Snake Eater was the pinnacle to me. Amazing gameplay, characters, replayability, collectibles actually worth a shit. Like unique boss camos, i really liked Volgins. Story was not bad at all for MGS standards, kinda great actually. Top tier and the rise of MGO which i missed. 4 was ok. Very replayable, decent weapon customization. Weak story and bosses. Great ending. Pretty cool areas. 5 was best since 3. Arguably cleanest gameplay, most options to take out enemies. Good buddy system. Lifeless open world but several very good missions. Fuckin disaster of a story. Credits before every mission was a truly awful idea. Proly most replayable of all mgs games when you factor FOB and MGO along with the insane amount of things to do. Which i did not do, because being a completionist in gaming is a waste of my life. I bought it at launch and immediately went to my boy's house to marathon with him. We felt so awkward cuz we both hyped it up so hard but it was a short, clunky, unintuitive mess. Generic gameplay, shitty short cutscenes that were just anime stills. Crazy how bad it was. We never spoke of it again lmao Yeah I remember the hype and remember the reviews lmao.
