If you haven't started any of the side quests about 10-15 hours I'd say. The coliseum gets more fights in Chapter 14 and there's another battle simulator in Chapter 16 or 17 so there's some extra stuff there too.

Awesome. I'm just under 30 hours. So stoked to see I can get at least 50 hours outta this game.

I finished my first playthrough in 40, not finishing all the battle sim or colliseum matches. Was gonna tackle those in a Hard run

My final playtime was 30 hours and I did every side mission and every coliseum fight. I've heard my playtime is kinda low compared to other people but I tend to play games pretty fast.

Hell yeah. There's no sequence I rewatch as much as the support pillar boss fight, sequence leading up to it and afterwards.

With the song that gets used too, it's just so perfect. The stakes feel so real (even if we know how it'll end)!!

For me it's the whole smash em rip em sequence, totally obsessed

I am up to 60 hours in Chapter 17 of Hard now. Omg some of these fights on Hard are dumb as hell.

Wandering around during chapter 14, just over 30 hours here. Still loving things quite a bit. It seems like chapter 14 is basically sidequest central.

The game clock stops after a short period of time if you're idling.

I was at just a shade under 50 hours when I finished it. I did everything though and also strolled around places slow to take in the details

When I finished the game I immediately booted up chapter 1 hard mode without even stopping. I'm definitely going for the platinum on this one

At chapter 17 and getting into some of the new spoilery stuff. Seems contrived but fine so far.

Also holy crap the stairs were the best. Almost as good as mgs3.

I've been watching a playthrough of it as I play through the chapters, pretty wild how similar it is... and how different

Having never played the original FF7 but being a big fan of JRPGs and other FF games (FFX is my all time favourite), I'd say I'm enjoying it but it's a little disappointing from a gameplay perspective.

The combat is fun but the enemy variety is garbage, and the areas you explore are tiny and lack any variety or exploration. The game is extremely linear and feels very disjointed. I mean FFX was linear but at least it felt like you could get lost in some areas (Gagazet, some of the trials, etc), and it felt like you were on an actual grand journey. FF7 just lacks that completely as Cloud is thrown from one trash heap and sewer to the next and the dungeons are either completely linear or have some very minor puzzles to stop progression.

I am enjoying the world itself, the characters and story. I'm really digging the storyline and especially the character development. Although the pacing feels a bit off at times (the train graveyard felt really odd considering what was happening in the story, not sure if the original was like that).

I still haven't beaten the game (up to chapter 13) so maybe it pulls a FF13 and greatly opens up towards the end, but so far it feels like a really good movie with mediocre environments/towns and a decent combat system.

I'm back to my grind this morning. Everyone is at 50 but I'm still maxing some materia and tryna git gud

Finished Chapter 14. Probably should've done a bit more grinding at the colosseum, esp for AP, but I didn't wanna be overleveled for the last few chapters of the game.

That Leviathan fight was difficult. Kicked my face in a couple times, until I re-tooled for magic defense, put elemental+lightning on Barret's weapon, and had manaward on everyone before tidal wave hit. But yeah, was definitely challenging the first few times.
