After MERS, WHO committed to not letting diseases have names associated with a type of area or region. I'm sure if they could go back in time, they would to rename those others.

Me and my friends use to make up names for a lot of things.

I showed how it was called Wuhan virus by the Singapore ministry of health on January 4th it started on December 30th, and didnt get an official name until February.

That info about Who not wanting to do that anymore explained it

I personally dont care what anyone calls it btw.
