Like it's really stupid.
For instance I was playing against someone last night for a solid two and a half hours, won every single match against him, but then I lost just once and got super upset. We kept playing and I continued to win every match but just losing that once made me feel kind of upset and bitter. I don't even know why I felt like that and I think it's stupid that i did, especially since that guy went from elite smash to sub 1 million gsp. It happens with fighting games.
Imagine say, going for a "Win 10 matches in a row" achievement and on the 10th fight you lose. That shit happened to me in DOA6. I try to play only co-op RPGs and stuff like that now. Same, only happens to me in fighting games.
It's worse for me in Smash, because I can beat the pros all day long (irl tourneys, competitive discords, etc), but then I lose to a brainlet Ganondorf who throws out smash attacks. --- Bells, bells, bells! ... Copied to Clipboard!

It's just competitive nature. I'm laid back and don't give a shit about most things. But if it's a competition (like sports in real life or a fighting game)? I play for blood.
People out there, taking it easy during a pickup game of basketball and I'm drenched in sweat, diving for loose balls. I play to win. There's no "for fun" When I play smash, I get pissed when I lose. I know I suck. I can see what I am doing wrong and trying to fix it. But it still sucks losing ... Copied to Clipboard!
