My ex liked playing this to sleep. Was actually really relaxing. But mostly, f darn it I miss her. ;-; We just aren't a good match for each other with regards to what we both would want our relationship to be like.

I don't like white noise because it reminds me of tv static which is creepy. However, I do sleep with noises on almost every night. Rain is my go to. Sometimes I'll do waves.

Relaxio is a really nice phone app that lets you blend a large variety of noises from wind to water to a crackling camp fire.

I like rain/thunderstorm sounds.

I prefer absolute silence. Hard for me to sleep with noise but given a while I can sleep with some low sound in another room.

One time I was sleeping at a friend's house and he put on some ocean and whale sounds. Turns out he has an app to play various different noises that also have a specific frequency output alongside them for supposedly different types of sleep (deep sleep, better chance of remembering dreams, other stuff). Now, I'm highly skeptical about the frequency stuff but apparently it works for people who are not aware that the app sends these out, possibly increasing credibility. Took a while to sleep again, though.

I prefer big, noisy fans. It has to put out a constant sound, though, no thrumming bullshit. I can't sleep in silence.

And actually, because it's been cold I've tried not to. I use a box fan.
Maybe I should try using something like this actually. Until it gets warm again.

I'll visit it when I need to. I like the low dull roar of something that sounds like a house furnace coming on. Usually the box fan type ones are too sharp for me.

Last time I needed one was during the final days of my last relationship where I was being lied to and the ex never coming home. It's relaxing but also triggers some raw emotions at the same time when I consider doing it in normal circumstances

We do the white noise for the baby It works wonders. We actually got used to it ourselves now. Theres plenty of white noise apps you can get.

I heard when homes where first electrified some people thought the power would just seep out of the outlets.

I realize that perhaps I shouldn't use it. My grandmother fell during the early morning when I was sleeping and I wouldn't have heard it if I was using the white noise. My father also collapsed, twice. It is better to keep cognizant of what could be happening around me.

Nah, but I always sleep with a fan and something on the TV. Generally a TV show or something. If its during the work week, Ill put it on ESPN cause Get Up! is just starting.
