Just glancing through, the reporting is pretty deceptive:

The "one death" involved law enforcement ambushing a demonstrator who was currently off the premises.

Honestly, the clickbait headline and initial content in the topic made the resignation seem reasonable, but further reading from just the source article makes the thing sound bullshit. Not that I necessarily feel that the politician should be in government.

Yeah, but it's Zues so I guess not having a clear grasp of reality is to be expected.

For anyone who doesn't know. The "one death" was a militia member who tried to drive through a police barricade, and when his truck got stuck he exited the vehicle and reached for his waistband. Law enforcement shot him.

To be clear he had also proudly said on national news that he wouldn't allow himself to be taken and would kill anyone who tried to arrest him. There is no way the agents involved in arresting him were unaware of it. I'm not going to go back and watch the video, but as I recall it the video shows him second guessing himself and not getting shot until the second time he makes a suspicious movement.
