I went back to play it and while it has a lot of the adventure portion down great like finding awesome items not always in a dungeon like the ice rod and the spells, it is severely overrated. Still, I feel ALBW really dropped the ball on being an all around adventure. All you ever find is rupees. I kind of wonder if Nintendo is intentionally making each zelda distinct in its pros, so no one Zelda is ever obsolete though.

I loved ALttP, but to me BotW represents technology catching up with what I imagine was Miyamoto's original vision for LoZ. It's an adventure in a huge, beautifully crafted, wild, and dangerous world with no limitations!

I thought the classic LoZ formula had gone stale long ago, so the changes in BotW were very much welcome by me. It's not perfect, but it's a great building block for future games in the series.

ALttP is pretty stuffy these days tbh, though not a bad game. Pretty much all the 3D Zeldas are better besides maybe SS (which I haven't played). Maybe not the (3)DS games, either, if you consider those 3D
