I've broken three controllers tonight on Spider-Man and Crash Trilogy, what is the game that made you maddest

When I played COD, I used to bite my PS3 controllers, eventually, both the grips were completely bit off, the wiring was exposed, it was jagged, pretty uncomfortable to hold, but whatever.

Another time, I was racing someone on GameFAQs that I hope doesn't pop up in this thread or they'll certainly mock me for it, in Mario Kart 8. It was the Wii U version, and I kept losing (incredible amounts of lag), so I punched my gamepad and it broke.

MTG Arena recently. I want to throw something at my TV because of that game. I have 18 land in my 60 card deck and still get fucking flooded. Then the person I'm playing against takes FOREVER to play their second turn. You only have 2 fucking land, it shouldn't be that hard!!!!!

Hell if I remember. Never been one to throw my controllers or anything though. Never broken one in all my life.

I've never broken a controller, but the RAY fight on Extreme in MGS2 is the closest I've come.

Prince of Persia Sands of Time for PS2

The PS2 controllers had a button that would let you turn the analog sticks off for some bizarre reason I don't know. Prince of Persia had a really strange bug where the rumble from combat in the game would cause the button to get triggered. Before I knew that, I'd be fighting a battle and suddenly the prince would start moving in the weirdest directions and wouldn't do what I was trying to make him do. I'd use up all of my sand reversing and trying to redo what got screwed up, but it was no use, I kept dying over and over. Finally stood up, took off my headphones, and smashed them on the ground. After that I researched it and found out that if you disable the rumble in the game, it will solve the problem.

Incidentally, I let my dad's one co-worker borrow the game after I had beaten it and he never gave it back. As much as the game pissed me off, that annoyed me more in the long run.

I forgot why I was mad or which game it was but I actually injured myself once.

It was on accident, of course. I did a pretty simple air punch maneuver, except my thumb clipped the controller and the last knuckle on my thumb hurt a lot for a week or two. Maybe some sort of strain or something? Not sure. It still worked so I didn't go to the doctor.

That part. Oh boy. A friend and I stayed up all night trying to beat that part when I was in 6th grade. I remember at one point my friend started crying, and I couldnt really blame him.

CPU Setsuka in Soul Calibur III nearly killed my controller back in the day, and I'm not usually prone to rage.

SNK bosses I could understand. They were bosses. It's kind of their thing. Setsuka just came out of nowhere and may as well be reading inputs with how great her reaction time is, and her attacks come out so damn fast.

10 years and my blood pressure's a little up just thinking about it.

It was probably some online multiplayer shit like teaming up with randoms in 2k15 (or even something like online Splatoon... lol) while I wouldn't break/toss controllers I would grab something cheap/soft and beat the ever lasting fuck out of it. Mostly pillows, I would just grab my pillow and start slamming that shit to the bed constantly lol

I got so upset trying to draw a tree on Mario Paint once that I sat the controller down and had to count to ten.

God of War 3 during those challenges and chasing trophies, that shit made me rage so hard.

I think it was FE7. I go into the arena with a 97% hit rate...Miss. Computer has like some abysmal hit rate, but that didn't matter. It got a crit at 1 fucking percent and killed me.

Probably was Perfect Dark. Years after my brother, my friends, and I stopped playing it together, I decided to try beating all the levels on Perfect agent. THAT was hard, you seriously have to memorize every level. It took many, many attempts to get that down on each level (My brother was super impressed when I showed him that later, he couldn't believe it haha). Then I unlocked all the cheats, same thing basically, also very hard on some of the levels. I was on a mission to do everything in the game...

Next I made way down all the challenge stages. It's been too long, I can't say what challenge it was (17 or 18 maybe?). A level with a bunch of Meat Sims in a big open area. If you don't know, Meat Sims are the easiest of the AI bots. Horrible aim, slow, die super easy. For some reason in that stage they are 100% accurate with grenade launchers. Just instant death by explosions every time I pop out to try to get some kills, explosion right on you in less than 1 second.

They are just wrecking me over and over. I tried to beat that stage so many times, getting more and more pissed off each time I failed. It got to a point where I'm loudly cussing and eventually I throw my N64 controller across the room. Then I punched the wall next to me. Dude I saw the wall warp out and warp back in! That house was cheaply and quickly built (I was on the 2nd story btw). After seeing that it made me stop playing that game for a while. I almost broke my friends house. I could pretty easily punch and kick my way through that wall and get outside! lol

I did research on that PD challenge stage after. It is a glitch or oversight in the programming with Meat Sims. They are as accurate as Perfect Sims with grenade launchers. I don't remember if I ever beat that challenge. I would have to get my old n64 that's in my dad's garage and check. Maybe I will soon :)

FFXI in 2004 or 2005. We spent what seemed like days getting an alliance together to do Genkai 2 (I think). We're all in Xarcabard, getting ready to start and the server crashes. I threw my keyboard at the wall and it exploded.
