Oh, got the fossil already. I was worried it would be really late game since they're almost last in the Pokedex.

Dracovish was my only option, but it's the one I wanted anyway. Reset a few times for a Strong Jaw one and then pumped it full of TMs and TRs already, lol. I don't know why it can learn Leech Life, but I'm just sad it's not boosted by Strong Jaw. Anyone know if Fisheous Rend does get a boost?

I dont really get why a level 21 Pokmon thats only got a sliver of health left and is paralyzed is this difficult to catch

I've honestly had remarkably good luck so far in this regard and I'd transfer some of it to you if I could

A lot of my catching strat pertains to Quick Balls and Timer Balls though

well, straight up ran out of balls after around 50 failed attempts. theres no reason the catch rate should be that low for something this early in the game. its very off-putting.

Is it a higher level than you? Because I'm pretty sure they've changed catching mechanics to make it so Pokemon higher level than you are incredibly hard to catch. I had my team wiped out by a Spritzee 2 levels higher than me while I was chucking ball after ball at it.

It was 1 level higher than my active Pokmon. if thats the case thats extra frustrating and a pretty stupid change to how things normally work.

I caught Wobbuffet with one ball, but it was level 20 and I was like 22

Wobbufetts are also known for having low catch rates I believe. They are very uncommon pokemon by nature.

Also fuck, Game Freak patch this Y-Comm shit already. I swear the number of times I've been "searching" for a Surprise Trade for 3-5+ minutes only to eventually cancel out of it in order to check out an interesting raid only for it to be an outdated offer.

Speaking of Wobbuffet

I was grinding a few levels to evolve Nincada and got into a fight with a Wobbuffet that destiny bonded me. Because I also couldnt run due to shadow tag, I decided to catch it, forgetting that it would take up my free team slot. I then proceeded to evolve Nincada, losing Shedninja and having to evolve another one.

What Im saying is, fuck wobbuffet

I went into a 5* Frosmoth raid and it wrecked us. Quiver Dance boosted Blizzards hitting everyone are no joke. NPCs are such a liability in that situation.

I wonder if time of day or weather influences what fossils you can find. Got my first bird and dino fossils, and not just one, but three of each in probably under 10 digs, at night and in a blizzard. Previously I think I only dug during the day, and while the weather may have varied I know this is the first time it was during a blizzard.

I tried out ranked matches for the first time. Been playing Pokmon casually since the beginning but never seriously until now. Ive got a ton to learn.

First impressions: thank god cancelling a match results in a loss. My battle came down to a crazy finish and I was quite fortunate to have taught my Intelleon a Dark type move which was just about to secure my narrow victory against a Dynamax Cofagrius. Uncomfortable with enduring a few seconds of disappointment, my opponent attempted to abruptly cancel out of the match outright.

Well, thanks for the slightly... quicker... victory!
