The visuals were incredible, but the lore implications of it are awful. They hyped up Bolvar as the Lich King for 2 expansions and then in the very end, we won't even get to see him in action as the Lich King. Bolvar sat on the Frozen Throne for over 5 years. He should be the strongest character on Azeroth at this time, but instead he's unable to land a single hit on Sylvanas. They don't even show how Sylvanas defeats his army of undead at the Frozen Throne because they know its impossible. The second that Bolvar used Remorseless Winter and was doing blink strikes, Sylvanas should have died, but instead she continues to easily dodge his attacks and his telekinetic tossing of glaciers until she binds him with purple magic and takes the Helm of Domination from his head and rips it in half. There is now NOTHING to stop the Undead from rising up all over the world. It's a completely rubbish plot point. In spite of how godawful the cinematic was, the gameplay for Shadowlands and the story surrounding everything that's not-Sylvanas is lining up to be fucking solid, and the expansion will probably line up there in greatness with WotLK, MoP, and Legion. --- I've grown. <cite>Perascamin posted [p:929613000] in r/wow is a... The Helm of Domination is more valuable than Frostmourne and idk how you can't see that, but fine, I'll argue by your logic. Frostmourne gets destroyed - Souls that Arthas tortured are released, nothing really happens Helm of Domination gets destroyed - the sky tears open and reveals another dimension. The Helm of Domination was the key that kept the Shadowlands and Azeroth separated.
