I think my save file was like past the point where I could get health back or something before the fight? I think Ys 1 is the only game where this applies for me. well, there's tons of games that I started and I didn't beat for various reasons. but this is the only one where I got all the way to the end and stalled out on the final boss specifically.
he's just really powerful and I found the mechanics for fighting him to be super jank. on top of that you basically reach the peak of your power by this point and you will never get any stronger. you can't just grind a little bit to have an easier time beating him. the only way to do it is to repeatedly practice the battle, which is not something I was interested in doing. --- I saw the truth, I saw endless night skies; Understanding is pain. https://imgtc.ws/i/OObNl5s.jpg ... Yes. In Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey Redux. I either had to make a new team and grind for hours or play it on easy. I chose to play it on easy.
