Just going in a different direction now. Aquaman, Wonder Woman 84, Shazam, Suicide Squad 2, Birds of Prey, all still connected albeit loosely. They arent going the old DC route of every movie being literally connected like MoS-Justice League since nobody cared about them.

I dont understand these is the DCEU dead topics that keep popping up considering we had two movies come out back to back in the winter last year and early this year, and a trailer drop for Birds of Prey where its clearly connected to what weve seen of her in Suicide Squad, also James Gunns Suicide Squad cast being announced and bringing back most cast members.

Yeah, Aquaman did over a billion despite not amazing reviews, and Shazam got good reviews despite not making that much money. Plus they got James Gunn doing his thing, and a Harley Quinn movie coming out disguised as Birds of Prey.

On top of Joker winning awards and shit, while also making a bunch of money on no budget at all.

They are doing fine. They probably realize now they just need to make interesting and different movies and they will do fine.

I hope they start getting into the crazier stuff that is obviously not in the same universe as the other movies. Like there is that little story from Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader that has Batman be crazy, Alfred just pays actors to pretend to be villains to fight him, culminating in Alfred becoming the Joker to be the "Moriarty to his Sherlock Holmes." It was only a few pages of the idea, not the full point of the book, but a single movie adaption would be amazing with a super small budget.
