Tina Lewis from Texas says she was DENIED service at a Nail Salon because she was TOO FAT!!

She wanted to get a pedicure done on her feet but a worker said they couldn't service her because of her size and that she might break one of the chairs!!

She said "Are you serious?I'mtoo big to sit in the chair?" who had gone to Rose Nails for a pedicure that day

She went with her mother and was seen on camera speaking to an employee

Marie Bui, an employee admitted thatshe was the one who turned her away and said "My spa chair is very small." and that she wasn't trying to be mean but that she had to draw the line after another heifer broke their previous chair

Tina complained stating she saw another large person being taken care of a week before and that her denial was personal

She said "It was like, very disrespectful. To me, i thought it was discrimination."

Dailymail reached out and a woman who answered denied it was the same establishment

The salon sits at a nondescript strip mall, sandwiched between PJ'sFish and Chicken and Greens Tobacco Shop

Legally, the law is on Marie's side as it is a private business and they can DENY a person for whatever reason as long as it's not protected according to New York attorney Julie Hyman who is not representing Lewis.

Julie said "However, i don't know if i would have chosen that option. Sometimes the chair is meant to die"

You can deny service for any reason, including not wanting to deal with those stinky feet.

We should not make people do jobs they don't want to do, or risk their equipment etc in the name of treating everyone the same.

If you weigh as much as two people, there are some things you have to expect you are not gonna be able to do, or that people are not going to want to do for you.

And i'm not anti-fat, heck I'm 280 or so (mostly cause i'm a bear, but I have a belly), i'm just saying that if you got the pounds, that is your choice (and it's a choice in most situations...even if it's not an easy one to actually change/deal with). Don't put your life decisions on other people.

That's patently untrue lol fat acceptance has been used almost exclusively for land whales who are at least heavy enough to work from home for Mr Burns' Nuclear Power Plant.

People who are a little fat know where their body should be, they still respect the natural ideal and its boundaries enough to not go off the deep end.

If she breaks the chair she has to buy a new one and pay for business lost from a broken chair.

If there is a posted weight limit from the chair manufacturer then she should absolutely be denied service for her physical safety and so the salon doesn't get sued.

It's not only that. The problem is that let say that this obese fuck sits in the chair, breaks it, and then injures herself. I can guarantee you there is a VERY high chance she would sue the salon for negligence or some stupid shit. In my past experiences, overweight people are far, FAR more likely to sue you for an accident that they caused due to their stupidity/negligence than someone who isn't a fat land whale.

But then, you could make then sign a contract stipulating this, but they would also be offended by that since you would make assumptions about their weight being a problem... Can't win with land whales.

Damn Tina got some big ass titties but anyway pretty sure those chairs are designed to support about 1000 pounds I've seen women her size in them before. Nail people can have some pretty nasty attitudes from what I've heard

Like, if you look like her, chances are you're a pretty bad person. You probably take so much for granted and do something like complain about not being able to get your nails done.
People need to be reminded that the 21st century doesn't guarantee you luxuries, you're just lucky to live in it.

Being overweight isn't not an indicator of being terrible. Actually, thinking that being overweight is an indicator of being terrible is a larger indicator of a terrible person.

Being overweight isn't not an indicator of being terrible. Actually, thinking that being overweight is an indicator of being terrible is a larger indicator of a terrible person.
