That being said, she's been so up and down over the years that this is, in a sense, a step up, as her STATS rise 0.12% to 43.92%, and she climbs one spots to 70th. I got a lot of flak for my Cloud fakeclaim by dead players and the host but it was good enough to keep me alive one day in lynch/lose and was backed by in game actions (I immediately disbelieved an earlier town bulletproof claim) so I still think it was good and I'll stand by that.

Just FFVII mafia for Angeal.
The funny part about that is I was Sephiroth the Serial Killer, which I thought was a pretty funny guy in flavor to fakeclaim Angeal. The safelist for Seph was brutal and I think part of the way he was balanced. I think the only remotely significant character in it was Bugenhagen. It was even dumber because I claimed Detective. But I did it with a "guilty scan" on the scum bulletproof (well, what I thought was the bulletproof, turned out it was the godfather and I was roleblocked without notification when I tried to kill him but I kept my scan to myself till after he flipped so it worked out) --- No problem! Course better than my fakeclaim in that game was when in final 3 I actually claimed Sephiroth and gave a dumb speech to the town member to help me lead them to the promised land and stuff and it worked

Is it even actually fun for a new player? I see a lot of veteran mafia players get ridiculously stressed out and angry over something that's intended (I assume) to be fun and it makes me question why anyone would want to start playing one. Then again that's how I got involved in save my contests on this board to begin with. Fun fact: I first met the love of my life in whatever smiffic Marche won. He was making such a fuss that I voted Marche partially to spite him and partially because the propaganda hype train was super fun to me. Needless to say charon and I probably did not make the best first impression on each other! :D Sorry Lightning fans. I wish I could give you better reasoning, but I was a lot less mature back then. To be fair I hadn't played either game and still haven't as of right now. I hate that I illegitimately voted for her opposition twice but the sweet forbidden fruit of Chris's (now seemingly disbanded) army getting in two underrated characters I legitimately enjoy the following contest was too tasty to resist. Everyone is a new player sometime. It's not like there is a huge entry barrier. I think you're more likely to have fun with it if you know you'll have the time to read the topics and contribute to the game. You might still enjoy it even if you don't but people will probably give you more flak if you're lurky (unless you're mafia I guess), which you may or may not take well.

I've never participated but I feel like I've picked up some of it via osmosis... though I'm always focused too much on the meta, like Sephiroth being obvious scum but still getting town support, lol.
And Lightning would've won last year if not for the lawyering, that'll always be the saddest part. GenesisSaga, there were a couple of things I meant to tell you about: (1) I never knew waterproof pouches were a thing so thanks for responding then, though I also haven't been to a waterpark in like 15 years... but now i know what to buy if I ever am! (2) Do you remember "Save My Final Fantasy X Moment"? It was run in 2012 but I don't really know by who (or remember what won), apparently a ran a couple of rounds of it per my topics list on lfaqs. When i first saw that it legit scared me because I literally had no memory of that at all... but I saw you and charon were top participants so that was nice. ... Copied to Clipboard!
