My temporary supervisor asked me to do something easy that I do every day without being asked and have no problem doing.

But him asking filled me with such rage, I went on lunch, ate a large pizza in 5 - 10 minutes, paced around my house for an hour, ripped my boxing bag down and started smashing it against the ground, grabbed a hammer and started destroying extra furniture I had, I called in and yelled at my manager telling them I wouldn't be able to make it in the rest of the day, and now I can finally sit still but I'm still breathing hard and my heart is still racing.

I have no idea what came over me or why I reacted like that, but even trying to take deep breaths and trying to think about the situation rationally wasn't stopping me. It's probably been over 12 years since I have had a rage episode and even then I have never done anything like this.

Sounds dangerous bro, you should probably speak to someone before you have a ninja moment.

You aren't even really reading my posts; you're just staring at your e-mail client and fondly reminiscing about that hobo you stabbed to death. :P

Maybe lol. I honestly have no idea why I got so pissed off. When I was younger I had a lot of anger management issues, but I learned some coping methods and haven't had problems in years, but today nothing worked. I just got angrier and angrier. Im still a little annoyed and not in a great mood, but I'm also able to just sit down and read and help my mood out a bit. For now I'm just rereading a zootopia fanfic called guardian blue.

No lie, I applied but I don't want it. It is a 50 cent raise for 3 times the work. The only reason I applied was because my supervisor he is temporarily replacing took the job and just made me do all the work anyway. So I figured I might as well apply and get the raise and title if I am doing the work anyway. My manager knew I didn't want the job when they hired my last supervisor so they decided to ignore my application and not give me an interview this time around because I didn't want it last time around.

There won't be a ninja moment. I let the anger win today, but I'm going in to ask for some time off to get recentered. I'll get a hotel for a few days and meditate, read, and soak in a hot tub while I recover.

I barely know the guy. He hasn't even officially started as the supe yet. He is still scheduled and training in another department. He seems nice enough. Like I said I normally wouldn't have had a problem doing what he asked, but I just snapped instead.

I wish I could be a slacker at work. There are 7 people in my department. The department supervisor who is currently out for 3 months but doesn't know how to do the job when she is in. Myself as the most experienced person in the department. 2 co-workers who know what they are doing 95% of the time but forward anything complicated to or requiring supervisor input to me because my supervisor doesn't know how to fix it. 3 new employees I have to train. 1 has severe learning disabilities and only got the job because of nepotism, 1 that just shows up for a paycheck, but doesn't do any work and actively complains about having to do more than show up, and 1 that was hired to work with computers even though she said in the interview she doesn't know anything about computers.

So that leaves my work, my supervisors work, the complicated work of 2 of my co-workers, the training, the supervision, and often the redoing of work of 3 new people and because I am trained in every department and have access to every departments programs, I also get to fix the major screw ups and cross department errors, because God forbid I point out that a manager should be handling those as the only reason I have access to those systems is because of my experience and not because my actual station allows it.

I figured, but still not in a great mood and started to vent instead of leaving it at the first sentence.

One of my friends got with the HR manager and gave him a heads up. It sounds like they are willing to offer me leave, but I have to go in and talk to them tomorrow morning to set it up.if I can I will probably work through tomorrow to make sure I don't leave anything undone that needs to be done and then take off for 2 weeks.

Well my apologies. Your initial post was a bit over the top and wasnt sure how serious you where being or if you where exageratring.

I know how you feel though but ive always been a more roll with the punches kinda guy. (I realize not everyone is like me though) Last job I quit I didnt even realize how badly I was hating my job UNTILL I took time off. After having a week to really think about it I called the boss and told him I was done. Then again I didnt get time normally to think about it. All i did was work and sleep 6 days a week. Wasnt the job so much I hated as it was him, dude was mental.

Sounds like you have something pent up... and it came out at an unfortunate time dealing with your temporary supervisor. As someone who has seen people 'blow up' at work before, I'd highly suggest you get a chance to vent/chill before getting back into work because clearly there's been something building up and it suddenly came out when you were asked to do something by someone who has every authority (in the employee hierarchy) to do so.
