While the DNC wouldn't be able to stop him if it wanted, Democrats as a whole should hate Bernie because he cares only for himself and doesn't give a shit about the party. Even if Sanders wasn't a complete idiot, it would be hard to justify voting for a guy who joins your party just so he doesn't have to run for president unaffiliated TWICE. Bernie is much, much worse than Hillary in terms of being out for himself and a political operator.

Nope, we should maintain the status quo, where companies like Amazon pay nothing in taxes and the government is essentially subsidizing its workers in the form of food stamps and other welfare. Obviously taxpayer money is better spent making Jeff Bezos a little bit richer than creating opportunities for the rest of America.

The one with double standards here is you. When it's your guy, you'll go to any length to deny or deflect obvious racism or sexism. When it's the other guy, you just seize on it as a way to attack them. The idea that you actually care about these issues is laughable; you've just admitted here that you see racism and sexism only as political weapons. It was conservatives who put forth the idea that it's justifiable to fear Muslims because they commit violence. Ilhan Omar responded by stating that our country should be more fearful of white men (than Muslims), because white men have caused more deaths in this country than Muslims have. That statistic is entirely correct. There was nothing racist about it. There's plenty racist about Trump telling four Congresswomen of color to go back to their countries however. White people never get told to go back to their countries. It's something racists say to non-whites to shut them up and drive them out. No "explanation" or "context" will change the crux of what he said.

As it stands:
Zeus - Suspended for criticizing Reagan
Broken Zeus - Purg
Donald J Zeus - Banned (for complaining about a mod)
Taily Po - Suspended after being baited into proving via screenshot I was suspended for criticizing Reagan. It's most likely going to be banned since it has lower karma than Donald J Zeus did
Aaantlion - I have the password saved on my sporadically-functional laptop. Been years since I used the account and can't even remember what email the account is tied to
Woken Zeus - Was put into read-only mode because the email I used I couldn't access via my phone and wound up using the laptop at home. That's probably going stay DOA.

So, to answer the question, I need a lot more. So far I found this and another one, but as I go through my older email addresses it's possibly I have more I forgot about.

Subsidies are usually given out to farmers, etc. I'd hardly call them corporations. And again, usually the "subsidies" are more along the lines of a tax break. Compare that to people who pay no taxes and get free money.

Second, and more importantly, because whites vastly outnumber Muslims -- Muslims only make up 1% of the population today and even less historically.

...you conveniently overlook that those "incentives" come in the form of things like tax credits or preferential treatment, not actual spending. NYT and other sources pretend that those are the same thing, but they're not. And these state and local government incentives which, again, come in the form of tax breaks, etc, are to convince companies to move to other states or cities which, when it happens, is a tremendous boost to those areas that can result in enormous growth. I'm sure you watch Last Week Tonight so you should understand the principle even if you're pretending not to. (And it should be noted that, while JO mentions that things are static overall, any state *not* participating in the system would be left behind.)

The second part, the CATO Institute claims about the feds, is something I either covered or will cover in that other topic.

...are you seriously asking how providing welfare benefits isn't an investment? Seriously? What exactly are you investing in? You're paying for the living expenses, you're not training them or helping them set up businesses.

Again, offering incentives to get a company to move to your area is a much larger investment because it brings jobs and encourages growth, thus increasing taxpayer revenue on the whole.

2. Those tax breaks should have been accompanied by spending cuts, at which point the budget wouldn't move. Otherwise it's silly to blame tax cuts more than spending for a budget deficit since spending is always a larger driver. And just because some companies used tax cuts for buy-backs doesn't mean everybody did, especially since a lot of companies don't even have shareholders. Otherwise for the non-feds, this comes back to states/cities trying to get businesses to relocate or stop them from leaving, which has massive economic benefits for the state or city.

3. If people are given free money for college, food, doctors, etc, why would they want a goodpaying job? They already have what they want. As for college, just about everybody can afford to go -- government-backed loans (which ballooned tuition) have made it affordable. In fact, the US has one of the HIGHEST college enrollment rates in the world, higher than many countries that give it away for free. None of that helps with jobs, and why would it? A supply of skilled workers isn't going to magically create a need for skilled workers (overlooking that many majors are useless). You need the industry first, unless everybody is going to be an entrepreneur.
