32 y/o Shooting Freak, Michael Christopher Glance from Michigan is charged with attempted murder after he SHOT his 2 y/o son and blew his FACE OFF during an argument with the child's MOTHER as he tried to Kill BOTH of them..but his MENTAL STATE will decide whether the charges will stick!!

He was arraigned on several charges after the attack that left the toddler in critical condition.

He got into a dispute with the boy's mother, Nicole McCarthy at his home in blackman township on April 16

DA Kati Rezmierski said he initially held a pistol to his son's HEAD and pulled the trigger but it DIDN'T fire and the child's mother grabbed him and ran to the car to try and leave but then he barged out of the house and followed them with a shotgun.

He pointed the shotgun at the same 2 y/o son of his that was strapped defenseless in the back seat of the car and pointed it at him and blew half his face off!!

He later then chased the boy's mother trying ot fire the malfunctioning pistol before leaving the scene

He wore an orange jumpsuit to hear the charges in court including 3 counts of assault with intent to murder as Judge Michael Klaeren didn't decide whetehr he will stand trial as his MENTAL COMPTENCY will be decided

He will go to a state run Centre for Forensic Psychiatry to determine if he is CRIMINALLY LIABLE for crimes he's accused of

The boy, named Ryker is at Ann Arbor's CS Mott Children's Hospital and has been there for 27 days so far as he underwent several surgeries and a Gofundme page has raised 82,586 so far

The family say they are overwhelmed over the level of support as his grandfather, Doug said Ryker still has a long recovery to go and the generosity of strangers have helped the family

Glance faces LIFE in prison if convicted on the assault with intent to murder charge but this may change if he is deemed "mentally insane".

The fact that it seems to be a suggested plea as much as it seems to be really... kinda actually hurts mentally ill people. It adds to the stigma about mentally ill people being violent and dangerous. Which yes, can be true, but it's not as absolute as people believe. Like many schizophrenic people are actually victims of abuse and violence, for example.

Furthermore, it can get people who are absolutely gaming the system an easier ride.

Insanity is one of the hardest things to prove in a court of law, even if the person is deemed insane they have to also prove that the person who committed the crime did not understand that his actions were wrong at that time.

It is a big fucking hill to climb, and even if you get the insanity plea and the jury buys it they don't just let ya go you go straight to a mental institution until you are deemed "normal" again.

The bastard should be executed!
