I really personally like treasure town too just like I love the whole soundtrack, but i agreed with some others that its appeal is really heavily skewed toward a set of people that isn't really board 8. happy town theme generally doesn't do well here. Reminds me of Our Village Is Number One (hello Celtic), which I say is one of the very best happy town themes in any game, and really close to the best on Xenogears' OST. But that one's not very popular, either... New Supports Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals Sonic Shuffle Ragnarok Online II Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Xenoblade Chronicles Pokmon Gold and Silver I still have some more soundtracks to go through, but I'm getting there... @loweffortmemes, did you see my previous input on Rewrite? I think Beyond the Darkness is worthy of a spot... it's my favorite in the OST, after all. I just love the note choices on the main theme, the soprano sax is really great, and there are some awesome harmonic moments such as at 0:28-0:29 and 1:28-1:30 ... well, I just like pretty much everything about it. SO GOOD. I really like Love Letter, too. Maybe that could be considered as well if you say no to Beyond the Darkness. Philosopheyz is great, but I'm skeptical about how it will do. NEW INPUT/SUPPORT TIME
Make A Good Mega Man Level 2 - I'm actually... rather unimpressed by most of this bar Boil Man (which I had known previously) and the sick remix of SOUND HOLIC's Galaxy Man. The Quick Man static in Volcanic Dam made me happy too though. Ar Tonelico - Melody of Elemia - urrrghghghg this is really hard for me. I do like the general sound of this nom set a lot, but CHRONICLE_KEY/. is the only exception song to me here, when many other tracks in the game would be that to me as well (PAJA/.#Misya, PHANTASMAGORIA, Vidarr, Voice of Life AE) Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - okay remind me to come back to this one. I like the selection a lot but think it could be a lot "stronger" maybe. Gotta come back Ao no Kiseki Evolution - Good picks! I think a lot of the "different enough to be noteable on its own" tracks are here, though one noteable omission to me is Mystic Core. That or Omen getting slotted in over Pomtto (which I don't care at all for anyway even in base game) would make deciding on a support much, much easier. Ar nosurge - RIP CIEL_N_PROTECTA MY BABY just kidding this list is still strong as fuck without it; while I would personally prefer CIEL_N_PROTECTA over EXPAJA, the latter has definitely proven itself to be strong before, so I'm not too worried about its inclusion. Kirby Super Star Ultra - I do like the decision to go Ultra to squeeze in Masked Dedede, but I don't think Galacta Knight is worth it at all when a better version has already been nominated, and absolute KSS staples like Marx and MWW: Staff Roll are left out. In addition, a lot of the SNES origin songs picked are the downgrades-from-SNES ones... in particular Halberd: On Deck, in contrast to Halberd: Interior which is fine. True Arena is definitely expendable as well imo. SquisherZ Rap -  HYPNOSPACE OUTLAW Jay Tholen, Hot Dad, Chris Schlarb, swordofkings128 PC 2019 This only dropped at the start of the year, and in the time since it's risen high into my top ten favorite soundtracks. In particular, I think this soundtrack evokes those awkward, boundless years of the Internet, just before the normalization of social media changed everything. In this set, I've included two songs credited to fictional artists in the game's universe; Zared, a 'haze' musician whose EP evokes 90s ambient music, and Klyfta, an experimental 70s/mid-80s band that undergoes phases of jazz fusion, progressive rock, and finally commercial pop. REFLEC BEAT colette - OKAY YES YES okay there is a lot of stuff that I love that I think is really strong in colette that is missed so I'll just toss some ideas out of what I think would be good for this list by like "category" and then totto and nekomata get their own 2 because they have so many GODDAMN songs in this game:
- DJ TOTTO "EDM-style like DORNWALD": Valanga, STULTI. Both of these could work together on a list, but STULTI is more volatile and I really like the idea of alternate STULTI - DJ TOTTO "Totoriott Gust-world-music-style": Windy Fairy (kinda), chaplet (a little more), Wadatsumi (a lot), Arcanos (basically Gust). I'm absolutely weak for Wadatsumi it's one of my favorite songs ever but all of these are viable, even looking at Windy Fairy rolling over to Devil Trigger in VGMC13 - Light Nekomata: The light heal-y Nekomata style, options being Clumsy thoughts, Following Flow, Flying soda. I feel like the vocal songs are all pretty weak, so Following would be the choice from here - Dark Nekomata: fallen leaves THIS IS A BIG BIG BIG one, the dark Nekomata style is proven to be extremely popular on the board even over the trend phases that have seemed to have happened, this one seems like a shoe-in - IIDX-like hardcore EDM: Playing With Fire (kors k fucking around), Our Faith (kors k being more serious), Like+it! (Ryu fucking around), Honey Party (Ryu being more serious), EMPEROR OF THE AVALON (L.E.D. gabber), SPEED BLADE (L.E.D not gabber), THER (TAG forgot he wasn't making a DDR song) - More freeform/prog/non-rhythm game stuff: Lilieze to Enryuu Laevateinn (Lindwurm is proven as a strong song as this quite literally is Lindwurm 2 even though its Lindwurm 3), Legendary Dragon (basically Octopath), Screaming Your Faith!!! (basically Romancing Saga), RAGNAROK (just straight 96 banger, rock representative) - less hard trance-y stuff: Daily Lunch Special, 7 Colors (actually really nice, a really strong vocal song from kors k imo) If I had to tier stuff for perceived strength (oh god what am I doing) I'd probably do like: S: fallen leaves A+: Lilieze to Enryuu Laevateinn A: Windy Fairy, Wadatsumi A-: Valanga, Playing With Fire, Following Flow, Like+it!, RAGNAROK B+: STULTI, Arcanos, Our Faith, 7 Colors B: Legendary Dragon, Screaming Your Faith!!! B-: Clumsy thoughts, chaplet, THER C: snow prism, Honey Party, Flying soda D: Daily Lunch Special, EMPEROR OF THE AVALON So a personal list I would do would be like fallen leaves / Lilieze / Valanga / RAGNAROK / 7 Colors / Following Flow / STULTI. Support Vote: Ao no Kiseki Evolution but thoughts: - Azure Arbiter is way too strong to be the alt. Like I could argue it should be #1. Similarly, Aoki Negai feels too low? - I agree with keeping Concentrate All Firepower off the list fwiw, mostly because same melody as Aoki Negai and Aoki Negai is just better. - really like the Silence in the Sunlight Filtering Through Trees pick. - Pomtto (...man that looks weird in English) I think is a bit on the weak side. maybe conflicting passions too. - Mystic Core is a pretty big snub. Omen is... I mostly super love Omen from around 2:00 to 3:20 (THAT HORN AT 2:50 *SQUEE*), but the rest of the track's relatively weak so *shrug*. - Traces of D and Delusion of a Thousand Years are two more tracks i might consider. --- Nonsense. . Cloudbuilt -- Deo, Player0, Akk (Mycro) - I have minimal reaction to this but it's probably a solid set of picks for its game i think ! (Dire) - Azu already saw my exact thoughts on the songs for this. Cloudscapes and Initial Entry were the weak ones for me, but Cloudscapes is non-negotiable. So in that case, I'd say trade IE for Aerial Walkways. (Moon) - watching (Dire) - maybe Update: Cloudbuilt 1: Monolith 2: Cloudscapes and Speed 3: Blood Moon 4: Aerial Walkways -  5: Cloudbits 6: Sinister Gale Alt: Aurora Dropped: Initial Entry Not a change I'd have made naturally, as IE is one of my favorites, but I wanted to secure a fourth support and I don't think the switch hurts the nom. . Killer Instinct (2013) -- Akk, Snake (dowolf) need to look over the rest of the list before i support, but <3 <3 <3 -- re: Touch Me and I'll Break Your Face (UF8) Obviously needs more battletoads (Dire) strongly considering (Dire) I really don't like TM&IBYF but it seems like it's pretty popular with other people, so it's probably wise to keep it. In which case, I'd say if you were gonna make any changes, Sanghelios / I'm Back / Execute would be the ones to target, while Whipsers, Temperance and Inferno are strong and should be kept. All of the HMs you gave are good, though I am particularly partial to The Instinct. (Jona) Yeah. Kinda in the same boat as you as not knowing too much about songs since then but here are a couple of songs I like that were added since then. Can't really go too wrong with any combination of songs, though. (deo) For some post-launch Deemo songs that I think would do really well or be good inclusions, take a look at ANiMA or Sunset, both of which I think would do really well. One of the Marigold/Magnolia/Myosotis trio might be something to think about too, albeit they're more volatile. Veritas especially in the list right now is kinda weak I feel like, and while I'm not a fan of Evolution Era its popularity has been proven before. Saika also seems like an expendable choice. Oh and Rhuzerv, of course! (mycro) hears a pianoOK LETS SEE WHAT YOUVE GOTazu\\]]] I like deemo music but from this selection I wouldnt be convinced that I like deemo music. (dire) - maybe (mycro) - I already know i generally dont like guilty gear music based on what ive heard but lets find out if this will somehow surprise me. Nope haha. I do like the fakeness/2000-ness of many of these though, especially prominent on The Original which appeals to me probably the most here. Oh yeah I kinda like Blue Water Blue Sky too.
