An 18 and 17 y/o were detained by police in connection with the shooting of a 16 y/o kid trying to sell his XBOX One in Indiana as a tactial unit operation was conducted to arrest the killers.

They were arrested at Gary and Crown point residences but their identities are not known yet.

16 y/o Johnny Peluyera was killed after he agreed to meet up with 2 men who wanted to purchase his XBOX One and his Dad AGREED to take Johnny to the quiet location AT NIGHT to sell it!!

Johnny was killed on the Corner of 51st Avenue and Maryland Street at NIGHT but his father, John Peluyera was there with him after getting off work to take him to Glen Park so he can sell his XBOX to an online buyer.

Joe Bernacet, the boy's uncle said his nephew wanted to sell his console so he could buy an all new IPhone 10 and the buyer asked Johnny to deliver it.

He said the boy and his brother went to the location after work at night but that he had a bad feeling about it but still went anyway because the location was in a NEIGHBORHOOD!!

The boys then attempted to rob the teen as they wanted to TEST IT firrst and took the console to TWO HOUSES!!

But when they got there, John Peluyera, the father, noticed that one of the boys had a Gun on him and shouted from the window "Let them have it, it's not worth it. Get out of there!"

But Johnny panicked and started running from them WITH the console and that's when one of the men took out his gun and SHOT him in the BACK as he was running and still holding the XBOX

John took Johnny back into his car and tried to stop the bleeding before police arrived but he was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:50pm

Johnny is described as a jokester who loved to prank loved ones and was an avid gamer who loved Fortnite, Rocket League, and Halo as well as basketball and working with Pontiac Trans Ams

The 2 teens are held on probable causee and looking to charge the 17 y/o as an adult

A Gofundme page has been st up to help raise funds for the cremation and has so far raised 5700 of its 8000 goal. It states "The family is extremely tight on money due to the struggle of taking care of her bed ridden mother and her daughter who is currently fighting her battle with cancer"

Do you think it was a mistake to buy/sell something with strangers at NIGHT and in a NEIGHBORHOOD area despite having an another person/or adult there?.

Going anywhere to sell something at night is stupid, unless you're traveling with a heavily armed group. Shit should be done in the day and limited to to the interior of something like a restaurant where it's harder to rob you.

Those mob/gang scenes in movies where 2-5 armed men come to you with a suitcase full of money to give to you or as an offer is more truth in television than most folks realize. You really need at least 3 people with decent strength or weapons on standby at all times when selling a big ticket item to a stranger.
