put a bunch a mods on and been crazy fun, cant wait for es6

I had tacked on 20-25 hours onto my VR file a few months ago. Can't use mods for that on ps4. I don't mind tho. The VR gimmick works to make it feel fresh again. They FUCKED the controls tho. You'll go every why but backwards when you try. It wasn't like that a year ago

My dude is a dual-wielding battle lizard named Carl. I've ascended the One Handed skill, and my sneak is at 100. Just joined the college at Winterhold so I'll probably get my magic up eventually.

I've nearly got 100000 gold, I'm gonna buy all the homes in Skyrim.

This is one of my favorite things about it -

[Alteration 30] Vancian Magic - Cast magic like the wizards of old. Your next 20 spells do not use Magicka and are twice as effective. When you run out of spells, you are unable to cast spells until you rest by sleeping at an inn or in your home.

So it's more like D&D

Then you get to make it better -

[50] Quadratic Wizard - Whenever you recharge your Vancian Magic spells, you gain 1 additional Vancian Magic spell for each 10 points of base Magicka.

[70] - Dungeon Master - Whenever you recharge your Vancian Magic spells, you may choose less or more spells in exchange for increased or decreased spell effectiveness, and/or choose one of three metamagic enhancements. Your choice remains in effect until your next rest.

i like having the conjurer perk where when you go into combat it automatically summons 3 skeevers to fight with you

I kicked myself for not getting Ordinator sooner. Such a fantastic mod. Some of the perk scripts crap on you after a long enough time like vanilla's Shield Charge does, which is disappointing. But it's still more than worth it.

Make sure you pick up Apocalypse too. Does for magic spells what Ordinator does for perks.

I'm still on 360 so no mods.

I've got a Khajiit somewhere in the 70s.

I like them for the Nighteye and because some headgear glitches on them so I can wear a full set of light armor AND a Dragon Mask.

Apocalypse puts vanilla magic to shame even more than Ordinator shames vanilla perks imo. Bolide, Electrosphere, and Incendiary Flow are top-tier Destruction spells to name a few (not even mentioning the awesome master spells). Ocato's Recital is almost broken, especially considering that you still get skill experience from freecasting; my setup is Ebonyflesh, Muffle, and Tree Rings. Also make sure you try Bloodseeker when your Restoration is master-level.

I thought about it but I don't want to pay full price for the switch for a game I already have. Then I also think about the load times and I get turned off completely.

I tend to get carried away with mods. I tend to try to alter as many mechanics as I can. Ordinator and Apocalypse are both go-tos. But I also like stuff like Sacrosanct and Imperius.
Patiently waiting for familiar faces to be brought over to SSE since I also like rolling new characters.

I'm always leery of gameplay overhauls and similar global mods; Fallout 4 was my first experience with modding, and it ended disastrously. So it takes me a long time to build up the courage to try them.
That's part of the reason why it took me so long to finally give Ordinator a fair shake (that and I was erroneously convinced that a mage simply couldn't survive in Skyrim's painfully unbalanced world without Impact's stunlocking).

I really should give more of Enai's mods a try. Apart from Ordinator and Apocalypse (and occasionally the quest mod Spectraverse), the only other Enai mod I use is Thunderchild, which is worth it for the Graybeard robe variants alone. But the new shouts are fantastic: wiping out an entire late-game enemy camp in one hit (on Legendary) with a fully-charged Armageddon meteor might be the single most satisfying combat moment I've ever had in the game. Gotta love shouting and then running like hell so you can get far enough away to turn around and watch it fall on your hapless enemies' heads.

also you can prolly turn back the update from online somewhere

i'll eventually play skyrim but not for some time. i dealt with playing about 168 hours in rainbow skies and i typically take a hiatus over extreme long term games (over 100 hrs to complete).

50-75 hour is much more manageable you can complete that in a week or two.

I didn't feel like trying something new, there's a community NMM that works now. but I had to download mods manually instead of it just downloading all the updates with 1 click

you can download Vortex from the nexusmods site, it makes modding alot easier
