The main problem with Sora is licensing issues with Disney and Utada Hikaru.

You can forget about any more square characters in smash.

Square is too protective and expensive with their IP's.

Game just came out and already paying for more characters. They should just release them one by one and have $20 for each one, guarantee you everyone would buy them

If we're going with characters that aren't typically associated with Nintendo, which seems to be what they're hinting at saying that the other DLC characters are similar to Joker. Dante and the Doom Slayer at least have shown up on Nintendo consoles (Dante barely but roughly as much as Cloud) at least, although I'm not sure that's a requirement really at this point.

Geralt hasn't but CDPR seems to be letting him out to play lately so I could see it. My headcanon is that he fell into SC6 through a portal, left there through another portal thinking he was going home, ended up in Monster Hunter World, then at the end of that he'll go through another portal and end up in Smash, maybe.

Sora is a stretch due to Square being stingy and selfish with their stuff, though. Only two FF music tracks in Ultimate, wtf.

No.

He sold all distributing rights and product rights to CDPR for like 10k years ago. The author OWNS Geralt, but CDPR owns him as far as merchandise, entertainment and games are concerned.

They were recently in court over it. He wanted a better cut of the profits after Geralt turned into a huge icon. I think CDPR gave him some more money as a gesture of good will.

Doomguy/ Doom Slayer- I actually think he's got a good chance, beyond just wishful thinking. He's iconic enough, popular enough, would probably send the internet into meltdown if they announced him. He's too much of a gaming icon for Sakurai not to have considered him and even with the DOOM games having a rep for blood and gore, I still think they could fit him in the game authentically without toning him down too much.

I also dont see an issue adding doomguy.

Snake is in the game and doomguy could have his almost full arsenal and his final smash would be his BFG9000.

I'd be down for doom guy, they added a grappling hook to his arsenal with the upcoming sequel.

Kngdom Hearts isn't a Square IP, though I doubt Disney would be much better in that regard.

Kingdom Hearts is a collab with Disney.

All original characters and designs are squares with licensing and authorized use from Disney to use their characters.

It's totally a square IP.

No, all original content is owned by Disney. Which is why the copyright on the cases and title screens signifies as such, and also why they have the screen stating which specific properties represented belong to Square Enix in each game.
