For all the hype this movie is getting it seems like everyone thought it was garbage. Must have been some huge "viral" marketing campaign to sucker people into watching it.

Its not special its just good for casual viewers which is the majority of people with a Netflix account. Of course philosophers on CE will shit on it.

At first it seemed pretty interesting. The lovecraftian monsters specifically had a really cool idea behind them, made even more intriguing when they brought in the mental patients. But then it went no where, and nothing happened and ended up just being disappointing.

i really liked bird box actually, but i've not seen many thrillers which are similar e.g. a quiet place, so there's probably better 'versions' out there

It wasnt a bad movie, but nothing super special. The concept of the movie did have me thinking about how horrifying being in that predicament would be, so at least it made an above average lasting impression on me.
