One 40 hour job, one 32 hour overnight job. If I can manage to hold on for a few years I'll have enough money to buy a nice house in a good area and be able to quit one of the jobs.

Wish me luck you filthy animals.

I still live with my parents so I have minimal bills right now. If I can save $25k a year for 3 years that would be a huge down payment for a house, making my mortgage dirt cheap. I have to work quickly though because my parents are very old and I don't know how much longer they will be here, and who knows what happens after that? Compound that with the fact I have two special needs siblings, I need to get this done now.

I'd be too tired anyway.

One job is 4 nights a week, the other 5 days a week. Basically all I will be doing is sleeping when not at work lol. Kind of works out because I have no friends or social life anyway.

Why?

Check one post above you. Essentially, I'm saving up for a house.

Why do you want a house so bad?

Because I want my own place where I can make my own life and live on my terms. Preferably somewhere quiet but not in the middle of no where. I just want it for myself and at this point I'm willing to do what it takes to get that. Whether or not my body and mind can keep up with that dream remains to be seen.

I'm an uneducated, average intelligence dude who has never went anywhere in life, so the only way I can get what I want is to put in the work and push myself to the absolute limit.

One good thing about this is, if I'm not able to hold down two jobs, I can use this new job as a bargaining chip for my current employer to pay me more. And if they won't I can promptly tell them to suck my dick and power walk right out of that motherfucker.

Even if I could keep it up for just 6 months to a year that's a pretty good savings.

Im in the film/entertainment business. We regularly work 70+ weeks. Its manageable, but its not really enjoyable. Especially for the PAs who make minimum wage. Disgusting. I think Ive officially retired from PAing to a nice little setup that lets me work the same hours(with a lot less stress, responsibility, and 5x as much money thank god)

I hope theyre paying you well. Thats the only way youll enjoy those hours.

Nope, lol. One job, which I've been working at for 8 years is paying me $14.20/hr and I'm an assistant manager that does just as much work and even more physical labor then the boss, this new job is paying me $17.00/hr.

The hands I'm dealt for not being educated or particularly good at anything!

I mean, I kind of win in all scenarios if I can hold out for at least a few months. If I like new job, I can either quit the old job or try to get more money and stay. If I hate or am meh about the new job I can still do the same and if the old job doesn't want to pay me I can tell them to eat shit and walk out. While working the new job I can look for an even newer, better job.

It's just science.

I have been. This new job actually is a good job, money wise. It's only 32 hours a week as opposed to my current job which is 40, and it pays $3/hr more. My hope is that I can balance the two for a little while. I'm all good with slacking right the fuck off at my old job because it's what those bitches deserve.

Only one way to find out, lol. One is 4 nights a week the other is 5 days a week, and I get sick days at both so if I'm super overwhelmed one day I can always take an extra day off and get paid for it at either both of them or one of them.

I did 60+ hours for like 10 years of my life. I had weekends off though where I would sleep all day and have a social life at night. My gf worked similar hours for a good 5 years. Both of us work much better jobs now and work more traditional hours.

It's definitely do-able. Most people that say you can't do it have never actually tried. I traded my youth for security and I'm happy with that choice. Now I can afford to either not work for years or retire early. It's a huge weight off your shoulders to go from struggling to pay rent to having money. Not bring able to pay bills made me feel way worse than working all of the time.

My advice is to develop a strict routine. When things are tough you use your routine to prop yourself up and get through the day. If you have good friends they'll understand and not give you shit. You'll still see them.

This is on the table if things don't work out for me. But you have to understand I help pay my parents mortgage and also help take care of my handicapped siblings so I can't move too far away, and the place I move to either needs to be extremely cheap or I need to make a lot of money.

I stayed the night with my parents last night for Christmas. My dad was telling me about one of his HS friends that bought a 69 GTO Judge in 1971 with his part time job. My dad had a 56 chevy and later an Austin Healy 3000 with the seats being fighter jet seats he bought at a the Boeing surplus store for like $20 a piece. All from his part time job at a country club.

My Grandpa bought his brand new construction Seattle house in 1970 for $18,000. He was a border patrol agent and was making $21k a year then.

I make ~2x the median salary of the area and my house was still 3x my salary for a dump that was a total fixer upper I bought.

Shits crazy.
