Nothing. I'm not seriously suggesting that I deserve to go to Harvard. You guys are just adamant about Hogg deserving it and I wanted to know why. But you're defensive and insulting me so you're never going to articulate a reason at all.

Because he has a high GPA and good extracurriculars and that matters more than a standardized test. Like you were told.

Places like Harvard are more concerned with building prestige and legacy than they are with education. They're basically saying that they feel Hogg is going to become a prominent politician some day and that's one more to add to the list of a huge amount of people who are already on that list so that can gloat about it later.

Those plus being engaged in his activism like doing interviews, debates, leading protests and boycotts, founded a club for gun control, doing speeches and talks, etc.

On top of that having a 4.0 gpa and with average SAT scores Ill say he does have qualifications.

OK. But you see how his position was handed to him by the media, right? He didn't earn it. It's like saying Kim Kardashian deserves it. I like Kim. I agree with Hogg. But I won't say either of them deserved their positions. Good on them for making the best of it though.

I went to UCLA and majored in English/Creative Writing. The name of the school isn't a selling point by itself. You need to show aptitude and interest in the job your going for.

Now as for Graduate school, yes, that matters. But Undergraduate is entirely optional.
