The LA retailer raised eyebrows by tweeting the image of a white model showing off the bright coloured sweater that reads "Wakanda Forever" It's in reference to the super smash 2018 Marvel Film that depicted a fictional Africa utopia of Wakanda and starred Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa They quickly deleted it but images of the white model were still circulating as the company apologized They said "Forever 21 takes feedback on our products and marketing extremely seriously. We celebrate all superheroes with many different models of various ethnicities and apologize if the photo in question was offensive in any way" Twitter users were not so kind as one sasid "Where did Forever 21 find this model?
