Question regarding the possible participants for the 13 and the 7, as someone who follows the lore but hasn't played any of the games so I might be fuzzy on the details:

Isn't aqua the only one who knows where within castle oblivion Ventus resides? A lot of debate seems to be whether aqua will be a light or a darkness, but if Ventus is definitely going to be a light, then wouldn't aqua have had to lead Sora to Ventus to get his heart back to him (since last I checked Sora still has ventus's heart), for him to participate in the war? Which would put her in the light column? I believe xemnas has been questioning Aqua's armor in the castle and trying to find Ven himself, but I am unfamiliar with how successful he's been with that. Maybe it's possible xemnas finds him with aqua's help but the lights somehow end up with him anyway?

I'm just speculating off the top of my head here but: Given Xehanort's deal lately is turning people into Norts, I'm not sure Ven not having his heart would be a dealbreaker for him. I could see him somehow getting the info from Fallen Aqua then heading over to Nort Ven and either succeeding (but then Team Light fixes him later somehow) or failing because Team Light catches up to them, drives them away, and saves Ven themselves.

I'm just speculating off the top of my head here but: Given Xehanort's deal lately is turning people into Norts, I'm not sure Ven not having his heart would be a dealbreaker for him. There is LITERALLY a scene in one of the trailers where Vanitas stands over a defeated Aqua in Vens Throne room, surrounded by a Barrier. There is also a scene that shows Vanitas by Vens throne in another trailer.

It seems pretty obvious what happens here. Sora and or Riku and Mickey finally defeat Aqua, Sora and Aqua go to rescue Ven. Vanitas who is already there lies in wait, Aqua at the very least finds Ven, maybe awakens him. Either way immediately after Vanitas either knocks out Sora, and puts up the barrier, or just puts up the barrier so Sora cant get through after cheapshotting Aqua. Whether by hook or crook, he beats her, and stabs her in the chest releasing her heart and casting her back in RoD. Which is the scene we see at the very start of the new trailer.

Man, the more I listen to it, the more I really dig "Face My Fears."

If it had more lyrics I'd put it #1 easily.

Wouldnt go that far, but definitely agree with the first.

Its obvious Face My Fears just didnt work at all with the part of the intro they showed. But I love it at the start of the new trailer.

I've actually been watching the version with the trailer and I'm really digging it.

It definitely syncs up with the footage in this trailer better than it did in the opening preview they showed off. That's what makes it work

They accidentally released an ad with Ventus awake in the Keyblade Graveyard during the moment they are all blocking the swarm of heartless. So thats that.

Sora, Riku, Kairi, Lea, Mickey, Ventus. 6 of the 7 now 100% confirmed.

If I were to venture a guess the might is going to end up with more than their 7 before it is all over and that's how they're going to defeat Xehanort.

I started watching those timeline videos. All the masters are idiots. For setting them up as the leaders of all the other keyblade wielders, the master of masters must be the true villain of this story.

I did (what I think) is an amazing write up on the UX story about a year ago, and yes, suffice it to say, idiots. Thanks Ava for causing the apocalypse. Gmun or whoever archives B8 might still have it. I played their stupidity for laughs. And there was certainly a lot

Ava was the most reasonable of the five tbqh, and she was the only one that actually did anything useful. She may have been what caused the bell to toll or whatever, but it was Aced who was the dumbest and sped things up the most. Him wanting to stop the end of the world is essentially what sent the world on the path to ruin.

In terms of biggest idiots Aced > Ira > Gula > Invi > Ava. Maybe swap Invi/Gula.

I guess there's room for Ava to drop if her Dandelions turn out to be huge fuck ups too, but as of what I've seen now, she's fine.

Okay I'm in the BbS portion now and Xehanort's Reports are already kinda contradicting what I just watched. They say the Keyblade War was fought because all sides sought Kingdom Hearts for various purposes, but only Gula ever even mentioned Kingdom Hearts, and even he didn't really want to open it so much as just use it as a ruse to get the Master to come back. Everyone else just fought because they were stupid and because they were told it was inevitable.

Which again makes me think the Master of Masters is the real villain because if he'd never said anything and never showed anyone the book of prophecies, the Keyblade War would've theoretically had no reason to ever happen (or at least not anywhere near as soon as it did). Also his Keyblade is totally evil looking (and yes I quickly noticed Xehanort using it in the first timeline scene of BbS). Note that I don't remember if I should already know from the games I did play if the Master was actually Xehanort the whole time or something silly like that (but I guess it is a meme that everyone is Xehanort...).

But anyway I guess I can't be too hard on it since any record of the time before the current world would basically be akin to a myth or legend.

But he went about it in the dumbest ways. Ira wasn't a great leader, but he also wasn't directly leading them down the path to war. But Aced still started an alliance anyway and got his union to try to build up more Lux to over throw him, which spurred on other unions to get more Lux and thus he started an arms race (that the others knew was going to lead to the end but went along with it anyway). Then by the end he was basically just power crazy and wanted to be the sole leader over all the unions. Also he never told anyone his role to challenge Ira and then got butthurt over Gula never telling anyone about his role and called him the traitor for it, lol.

Which again points to the Master of Masters being a villain because he had to have known what he was doing when he gave Aced the role to basically usurp Ira. I wouldn't be surprised if he wrote the book himself, called it unavoidable prophecy, and manipulated his group of morons into ending the world for him or something.
