...That... that might be enough? My internal reasoning was if the votes needed/update got to 20 it was safe and I know we're not there but Cloud just seems to have too much fight in him to just sit there and take a Mario spike without resistance.

I feel like Mario needed to have it down under 50 by now in order to cope with the inevitable Cloud stalls that you'd normally see toward the end here.

Mario's pics are godly and he deserves to win this match just based on his next round pics alone. They're that good. Too bad he's likely going to lose

Cloud's pics are okay. Decent. I don't really care about Cloud so maybe that's why I'm indifferent on them.

I honestly think Mario wins this if he didn't have the Mario/Samus rematch returning him to villain form.

Good result for him either way though because I didn't think it'd be particularly close before, but I think this shows Cloud can certainly hang.

No. Samus wins as long as she doesnt play Mario with a registered user bonus. She beats him without one, and if anyone else beats him she will beat that person.

Well if Cloud gets messed up by Zelda next match, and Samus is in fact significantly stronger than Mario indirectly, then Cloud would need to get lucky and have Mario be the only one of those 3 that he faces in a bracket run in order to win.

He didn't have to fight Samus. All signs point to Samus being stronger than Mario indirectly, but being unable to win h2h. Presumably a Linkless bracket would pit Cloud vs Samus and that is still a toss up.
