I mean the term refers to guys who feel like society has failed them and is leading to their lack of sex. They're involuntarily celibate, meaning that they don't want to be this way - they get together and commiserate about how no woman will so much as look at them. These environments become breeding grounds for bitterness and hatred towards women and a society that they see as failing them. The whole concept is entitled.

Incels have provided the outside world with every reason to dislike them based on their behavior. Maybe it was something innocent once upon a time, but the "virgin that hates women and minorities" stereotype is inseparably connected to the term incel for a good reason. They've become rotten.

I feel bad for the few people this would happen to, but generally most people who are virgins will call themselves virgins. Incel is a term used mostly by people who frequent boards, so it's unlikely that people are confused about what it means when they use it.

But if they don't know, it stands to reason they'll be informed. Look at this board, and look at incels. People here have learned what incels are, and you can smell an incel a mile away just from how they post. They can't go two steps without denigrating women.

Incel is not a word that is used a lot by SJW's because there are probably a lot of them who themselves are also virgins, seeing as how a lot of millenials in this day of age are more likely to be virgins than past generations.
