never knew how good I had it. Was part of the MPE (Multiplayer Elite) and finished 6-1, including Team Fortress.

It was all DarkSims, and I started 2nd, but Ultimate G, the leading vet, expressed some fear in TF.

You played the Fortress level in MP and you got your choice of Darksim allies. Problem? Needed to choose who to ally and whom to not choose. I lost R1 and won R2.

Wow this fucking game.

I made it to the stupid airplane hangar undetected and it didn't mark the challenge as completed. And since I went into the hangar it saved at the new checkpoint, so I have to restart the whole mission. Which means going through two minutes of bullshit and unskippable cutscenes.

This final mission you have to kill 5 enemies while your character is singing. I got 4 then this last guy just camped out behind a pillar. Have to restart the whole level.

I sat on an AA gun for one round of Airborne and got 6 kills and just shot the planes flying overhead and I was top player on the server. I had 500 points more than the guy who went 23 - 3.

It kind of is. Grand Operations is... this weird amalgamation of modes.

It sounds needlessly long and drawn out and I doubt we'll have full games by the end of the battle

It's actually really straightforward. The only annoying part is that you can only play certain game modes through it (which is annoying for a few of the assignments I've encountered so far).

It's split into multiple rounds, your score gets carried over between rounds and if your team does well on one round then you'll get a perk the next round (like enemy tanks might respawn more slowly or if you're on the Attacking team then you'll have more tickets).

The first round is Airborne, where you parachute into the map and then try to plant a bomb on an artillery gun. It's probably most like Rush, except one team right now is at a fairly big disadvantage since it's easy to snipe people with AA guns when they're jumping out of the plane >_>.

The following rounds vary depending on the setting.

You have Total Conquest where one team starts off with all or most of the capturable flags and the attacking team has to gain a foothold and either get the majority or just get all of the flags.

You have a sort of Rush where the Attacking team is just trying to take two control points which unlocks another two control points to push the enemy back.

Then there's a weird one that's a combination of Conquest and Rush? Both teams try to capture a central point - the team that wins it then gets to try to plant bombs on the enemy's comms stations. If the team doesn't bomb all of them in the ticket/time limit the original control point opens up again and it restarts until the overall timer runs out or the objectives are destroyed.

And THEN if it's a close match there (I've only seen this one) it goes into a last team standing mode where you spawn with one clip of ammunition and one life and have to kill the other team.
