My two (very minor) gripes are that Whispers character is now closer to his anime counterpart, which means hes not as competent in his butler role as the first game. And Fumiakis (Fumika players counterpart for Keizou) English voice is kinda awful. But other than that, the overall improvements are great. The town map now marks important locations such as shops and dungeons, and also displays waypoints for sidequests. Natural Yokai befriending rates are higher, and you can set any Yokai you have to follow you around in the overworld. The free story Yokai you get are more helpful (relative to your current story progress), too. The game begins with a little recap of the first game without spoiling the bigger moments, then goes a few short story chapters before hopping into the major arc (adapted into the first movie). I'm definitely gonna watch Land of the Lustrous when that dub comes out, and I might re-watch Girls' Last Tour too since I loved it subbed. EDIT: After looking up the VA's, almost all of the main ones Sentai showed off in those two trailers are pretty new to the scene. Juliet Simmons (Yuuri in GLT) has a few solid roles in past Sentai anime, most notably Chiyo in Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun. Sarah Weidenheft (Phos in LotL) seems to have by far the most major/recent roles though, mostly taking part in Funimation dubs of Crunchyroll shows from during their 2-year partnership. (8.5/10) Not caught up and will get around to it: Gakkou no Juliet (ep 5?) Inazuma Eleven (still on Ares no Tenbin's last match) Cardfight Vanguard (I only watch this in massive bulk so whenever my friend gets addicted to it again I'll probably bandwagon) Not caught up and contemplating dropping: Zombieland Saga (4 ep) SAO (5 ep) Just started and are amazing: Thunderbolt Fantasy (2 random episodes) Jojo: Ougon no Vento (2 ep) Zombieland was not what I wanted it to be after the 1st episode. It had great moments but lost me as a whole. SAO I watched because I love bad stuff but even watching it ironically, I find it boring and offensive. But yeah the goblin fight scene is mostly great. Everything else sucks. SAO is always just so half-baked but gets away with it every time. Thunderbolt Fantasy is one of the coolest fucking things I've ever watched, so is Jojo Golden no Kaze. TF is like the old asian periodical drama that I used to love watching as a kid, but it's also super anime with absolutely phenomenal camera work. Dialogue is top notch though a bit too dense like these kinds of dramas should have, and the action makes you go OOHHHH cuz it's half-practical effects which gives the violence a lot more impact. Also god those puppet works are just so goooood. Jojo Wind Aureo is very grounded despite being about people with superpowers, and yeah can't deny the guy can write like one hell of a motherfucker. Love the main character already, love the subtleties that bring out a character that I thought I wouldn't like, love the super gay styles somehow feel like the most heterosexual thing in the world. Really good series Gridman is the best anime of this season so far but Jojo Vento Golden might give a run for its money. Gridman is a well directed and wildly entertaining romp with a very likable and unique main cast and villain. I love that the girl is finally the dense one and the guy is the one actively pining for the girl like it honestly should be, I love the very classic daikaiju battles with the Viral lookalike constantly getting in the way. The directing is at times bizarre, but it's never bizarre without purpose like some more prominently praised animes like Evangelion tends to be. Bunny Senpai is expectedly a worse version of the series that it takes big influences from.
